    I asked you and Denny the question. Are you willing to discount the historians that agree that there was a Jesus described in the Bible? I am not asking if you believe Jesus is the God in flesh.

    You single me out like I'm the only one who attests to Jesus, 2.3 billion Christians alive today, 1.6 billions Muslims, most Hindus, Buddhists and people of many other religions, historians, and MOST sane atheists and agnostics believe in Jesus in some way or another. The burden of proof lies on YOU, or else we can play this stupid little game with anyone who isn't currently living.

    You said you have 10. Number 6 is not a piece of evidence. The defense has provided rebuttals. That's what the defense does. Now, if an atheist started a thread saying I have 10 reasons why god is a hoax, THEN, they would likely be providing evidence, and I would guess all that would be necessary is for you to point out the flaws in their argument, of which I am sure there would be some. You wouldn't have to prove he existed. Again, your thread, if evidence 7-10 is just gonna be...
    Come on. think about it. huh? Huh? Think about it. Then that's fine. Again, your thread, you're the one claiming 10 pieces of evidence.

    I think that's fair, but he's also simply recounting what someone else told him happened 60 years earlier. It's not like a birth certificate or a death certificate, a guilty finding in the legal record, a painting of him where he sat in front of a known artist who lived at the same time, etc.

    Shit happens. We have ups and downs, challenges and defeats and successes.

    That's life, and why it's great to be alive.

    A good friend of mine who is very religious asked me about, 15 years ago when I was dealing with some hurdles in life, if I ever stopped to think it was because I denied the existence of god. I said no, I like challenges in my life. Without them life would be dull and dreary.

    Well, wouldn't you know it, he ended up facing most of the hurdles I did and even ran up against some far worse ones.

    Mythical super-beings don't guide my life. I do.

    When I was very young and and studying religion (before I knew for certain god was a myth), I made up my mind fairly quickly that if he was real he was an evil entity that needed to be destroyed. The horrors and sins and crimes against the Earth attributed to him are inexusable IMO. No human being in history can be held up as a comparably evil entity.

    Good thing he isn't real.

    I discount their words. If they show me pictures of artifacts and tell me they're carbon dated to within Jesus' supposed lifetime, his tomb with his name inscribed and proven done at the time he died, and those sorts of things, I'd find it reasonable.

    Your logic:

    X is true because there is no proof that X is false.

    Prove unicorns don't exist. Prove God doesn't exist. There's no evidence for either, and there's no possible evidence they don't exist.

    Yo God boy Denny, what conclusive evidence would you require to believe Jesus existed?

    Also, wanna answer these for me: Who made Him up? Why did they do it? How did they convince so many people He even lived, yet alone was the Son of God, through millenia?
