Is iverson or some superstar out of the olymipcs teeam because they wanted to make the team revolve around kobe and now hes not here...
wtf..what kind of logic is that?..of course not in Iverson's case they didn't want a distraction to the team.Like in the last olympics Iverson was late to the game with Stephon Marbury, I'm not sure if Marbury is in in 2008 but if Iverson is not then he probably isn't either.IMO I think it's stupid leaving Iverson out but w/e as long as kobe and Lamar play in the 08' Olympics..I'm good.

Iverson was late to the game? In case you missed the last Olympics, Iverson was the only one that didn't make excuses, didn't bi*ch and complain, and went out there and represented Team USA the way it SHOULD be represented. He was made the scapegoat for that "failure," even though the roster was put together in a day, and Brown misused Wade, LeBron, and Amare.Iverson was left off for a lot of "reasons" that Coach K and Colangelo gave, but not even one of them made any sense...

didn't iverson not even get invited this year?and it's ridiculous to even think that the country with the best basketball talent in the world would downgrade their talent just so they could revolve around one guy.

Kobe isn't going to be in the olympics either because of his recent surgery so to answer your question, neither are going.

Oh wait a minute, that's why they invited the top 10 scorers in the NBA yesterday... except Iverson. Right? That is just one example...Obviously everybody can't be on the team, but for Iverson, the only man who represented the country with dignity and respect in Athens (2004), to be left off the training camp invite list is just a disgrace.
