That is an entirely different topic and thread. I am asking if you discredit him is all. That you discount their research.

 

Make a new thread about unicorns and we can have a good debate. Make sure you give all your evidence to please.

 

nah we can fdo it here. I have 10 pieces of evidence they exist. I'll start with 1.

1. Unicorns exist. Prove to me they don't.

 

i'm assuming you were referring to god in the generic/deistic sense given how your prior arguments were phrased, in which case atheists do not claim that no possible god exists. they are not required to disprove any possible god.

if you want to get into specific gods of human tradition that people more firmly believe do not exist, we're all in the same boat concerning supporting our beliefs. you only believe one less god exists than atheists do (prove to me Thor does not exist).

 

I said "I know god(s) do not exist". Never did I say "I believe god(s) do not exist".

And I was arguing with agnostics who think they are atheists.

Since several different posters have several different definitions of atheist and agnostic I thought it would be easier to drop the labels.

For the sake of this thread's clarity, just think of me as the guy who knows there are no gods.

i was just pointing out that it's interesting you think it's ok to appeal to authority so selectively. for example by consensus those same historians who think the man jesus existed have used the same historical reasoning to conclude that none of the 4 gospels were eyewitness accounts or even written by their namesakes.
