Chicago Bulls guard Richard Hamilton said he re-aggravated his groin and thigh bruise injuries during Sunday afternoon's 97-93 loss to the Miami Heat. He did not sound particularly optimistic about playing Monday night against the Washington Wizards.

"The first quarter I felt pretty good," Hamilton said. "As the game went on, I felt like I was playing on one leg. It was tough. It was hard. But it was kind of like a playoff atmosphere, you just try to will yourself through the game. I'm just disappointed we didn't get the win."

Hamilton, who has already missed 11 games this season because of the injuries, was non-committal about his status for Monday.

"I'll see," Hamilton said. "It's tough. I'm frustrated with it because at times your mind tells you one thing and your body is telling you something else. So it's frustrating."

    Rip, we need you.

So, please take some time off, and do your best to be strong and ready come the final month and into playoffs.

This is tough. My understanding is that pulled groins can take a long time to heal......like months.

So letting him sit out a few weeks might not make the situation any better at all. Or 4 weeks, or 6 weeks, or..........etc.

Really, it might be a coin-toss between whether or not it's best to let him sit until the end of the season or just let him play through it.
