Would You Invest In Facebook?

When I was 17 I inherited $7,000. I asked my dad what I should do with the money. He suggested investing it in a new startup company called Nike. Rather than doing that I bought a Chevy Vega and a bike and blew the rest.

Maybe that explains why, decades later, I live in a 900SF house.

 

Oh, but the memories we still have! I'll never, ever forget that trip around Oregon we took!

Back in the mid 90's I was listening to Mark & Brian on the radio, and they had these two dorks in there talking about their start up company called Yahoo. I remember them telling Brian he should invest, and he jokingly said he would invest whatever the first caller invested. I happened to be on the line for something else, and I was asked if I would man up and invest. I said I would invest $1500, which I had to borrow. That is not a day I would do over
