Re: Greatest playoff games in your team's history?

Mods do not move this topic to the Old School section. I made the topic here so that it can get more recognition. :happy0144: Anyways, going to back to the question, the Wizards dont have a big history in the playoffs, unfortunately. :no1: But we've been to the playoffs the last two years, and that is all I can remember. So, for the Wizards, I'd have to say Game 5 against the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the playoffs last year. We started off crushing the Bulls by 20 something pts, but then (as always) Chicago made a HUGE comeback at the end and Jannero Pargo went crazy from downtown. Add that to Jamison's choking at the line, the game was tied with 5 seconds to go. Wizards ball. Arenas, with the ball in his hands, wastes about 2 seconds off the clock, then drives left to the basket, stops, with Chandler and Hinrich, right up on his grill, shoots, and scores. GAME OVER. lol, that shot was just orgasmic. Best Wizards playoff game so far, imo.

My opinion is going to be scewed towards the last 6 years, but IMO, it's Game 7 against Sacramento. No team had won a game 7 on the road that far in the playoffs in 20 years. Add on the fact that Sacramento was the Lakers' bitter rivals, and Arco was far and away the loudest arena in the league. It was the definition of a nailbiter, but in overtime LA pulled it out.

I don't really have a "team" but I'll use Toronto. In terms of entertainment, that Knicks game they won to win the series was solid. In terms of meaningfullness, it was probably #1 as well

Game 5 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals. The Timberwolves finally get out of the first round. That was an amazing game. I remember that like it was yesterday.Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals (same year) was also a big game. Getting into the WCF was huge for the franchise. Also, Game 2 in the Semifinals when Cassell brought the team back against the Kings. That was amazing. Target Center got so loud in the final two minutes I couldn't hear myself think.

Game 5 of the 2004 series against the Lakers was great. Billups, Rip, Tay, Sheed, and Ben>The Glove, Kobe, George, Malone, and Shaq.Probably some of the games against Chicago, the early Bad Boys Days.

If Kobe and Shaq could just calm down, Malone was healthy, and Payton and Fisher were 100%, there's no way in hell the Pistons would've won that series.

Game 5 of Utah/Dallas in 01...back when it was still best of 5 to get past the first round. Calvin Booth's tip in that moved the Mavericks past the Jazz in their first year that the Big 3 of Nash/Dirk/Finley moved on.Game 7 against the Spurs IN San Antonio...overtime win, one of the greatest games, AND great playoff series ever.

Wow some great ones. From the ones that i've seen I'd say Game 6 two years ago against Dallas. That was a GREAT game. I was jumping up and down and screaming, haha...And then there were some great ones this year. Game 6 vs. LA, Game 5 vs. the Clippers(Raja Bell's 3).Then there's the ones I don't remember that the Suns lost. Game 6 vs. the Bulls in the Finals...Paxson. [IMG] And then that game in the Finals vs. the Celtics was a great one I keep hearing about. Garfield Heard's shot at the buzzer to take that game to a 3rd overtime...

To be honest, Ive never watched a Raptor playoff game before, but if you are talking about the greatest one, it is probably Vince Carter vs. Allen Iverson in the 2001 Conference SemiFinals. I think it was game 6 or 7...Vince Carter missed a 3 that would have tied, or put us on top. It was a great game from the looks of it..

Well there are obviously many for the Boston Celtics, I mean come on we have 16 banners. But I havn't witnessed all those great memories. I will go by what my eyes have witnessed:Game 3 of the 2002 Eastern Conference Finals. We were down 21 points to the Nets at the end of the 3rd quarter! Antoine Walker gave a HUGE motivational speech in the quarter break, pumped up the team. He was also looking directly at Paul Pierce 80% of the speech. Pierce turned it on (as did the rest of the team) and poured in 18 4th quarter points. We won the game by 4. Unbelievable.

The Spurs game against the lakers where Tim Duncan hit the incredibly lucky shot from the top of the key leaving .4 seconds left on the clock. And then Fisher hitting the inprobable shot. That game was awful for me as a spurs fan but it was a classic.

I started watching basketball on TV when i was pretty young though. Id say 2nd or 3rd grade. I went to about 8-10 games a year from 2nd grade to current. I just started keeping up with basketball thuroughly for about 2-3 years now.

As a Heat fan - Game 3 of this years NBA finals. Watching them pull off one of the most dramatic comebacks in playoffs history was quite a scene to witness.
