Could LMA be the next Dirk? They both have that incredible humility and their games are eerily similar.

How do you figure? Dirk has pretty much been a 7 foot small forward who handles the ball like a guard and does most of his damage facing the basket or off of isolation plays. LaMarcus has been mostly a pick-and-pop 4/5 who has gradually turned into one of the better post-up players in the league, but really needs a guard to get him into his offense.

Dirk is right. He isn't playing at an all star level. And it's not really close. He got off to a slow start and Dallas looked like the worst defending champs in recent memory. He has been playing better and Dallas is now over .500, but he still only has a PER of 18.8, is only averaging 17.2 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 2.3 apg and all of his advanced stats are far inferior to Aldridge's. By comparison Aldridge has a PER of 24.3, is averaging 23.1 ppg, 8.8 rpg and 2.8 apg.

Plus, the Blazers are currently the 6th seed and Dallas is the 8th. Yeah, only a half game separates the two, but the defending champs are also currently only a half game away from missing the playoffs and being in the lottery and their best player is playing his worst ball since 1999-2000! If Dirk gets picked for the all star game this year, it will be a lifetime achievement award for finally winning a ring and will have absolutely nothing to do with the way he's playing this season.

Hes a made man after that post season performance. Even before that he was in the club of that same 12-15 guys who makes the ASG every year regardless of how well they're doing or others are doing.
