LAS VEGAS -- Raptors forward Andrea Bargnani might need some time to learn the NBA game, but the 7-foot Italian and No. 1 overall pick has already mastered one aspect of the NBA job description: the autograph line. Two Western Conference team executives separately raised the memory of Tim Duncan being abused by Greg Ostertag at a summer league during Duncan's rookie year. "I remember people saying, Maybe this Duncan kid can't play," T'wolves GM Jim Stack recalled. "But there is an adjustment process that all players have to go through, and it takes a little longer for some than others."http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writ...egas/index.html Yet another good read from SI.com
This just shows that we cant be too hard on Bargnani, or we cant praise him too much. I didnt know that Duncan got abused or whatever by Ostertag but if that is the case, we cant be to hard on this 7 foot italian. If he gets to the NBA and shows us a darko type rookie season, then we might be able to take the hype away from him. But as for now, lets just wait

So even if Bargnani sucks in his rookie year don't mean he won't be good.
Dirk sucked in his rookie year too. It will take time developing an NBA skill set, and adjusting to the NBA game. I can wait.
