I'm not putting them on "par". I'm just stating that homosexuality was seen as a sexual perversion and a disease, much like how pedophilia and beastility are now. They are different concepts, but the way society views them at different times are not dissimilar. its nothing more than casual observation predicting future societal trends. A black man and a white man are not biologically distinctly different in the same sense that a man and a woman are.
That's not nearly true. In some cultures it might be true, and in others it isn't. The thing is, we are supposed to be a melting pot of culture, not some selected few's culture. Vive le difference!

they are still male. they are biologically different, but not to as a degree as being a different gender.
What constitutes a different gender? A can blast fish eggs with testosterone and all of them become functional males, even the ones with XY chromosomes, or get all females if I treat them with estrogen. Sex is a much more plastic thing than you're making it out to be.

How is it not? It's not a simple as male and female, there's so much variation, even with people who to your eye might look male or female.

we are discussing consenting adults. They do it on their own. A 12 year old still needs a guardian to have something to do with it.
