    ...along with Westbrook, Love, Parker.

    A no-brainer this year.

Sure does. It's hard to believe that at 23.7 PPG, he's averaging more than than 1 PPG than Roy did in Roy's BEST season (22.6 PPG). And he's doing it w/o a consistant #2 scorer. LA needs to be an All Star this year. There just isn't any way around that.

Ben Golliver (in conjunction with Kevin Pelton from basketballprospectus.com) did (or is doing?) a little "shake" analysis of Aldridge -- measuring the game-to-game variance in scoring output -- The main idea is that a player with high volume, high percentage shooting with little standard error is the mark of a great scorer. Aldridge apparently is besting Roy in his best season by a substantial margin.

Roy was never a true scorer. Always looked to make the pass as well as score the ball. You'd almost wish he would shoot more at times.

Roy was a better overall player. But yes, Aldridge is a better scorer with more upside. He can pass Roy.

Yep. Roy led a crappy team to 54 wins because he elevated the games of those around him. Different type of player than LMA, and a healthy Roy would have dominated the NBA with this LMA.

Given the meltdowns the Blazers have had in the 4th quarter this year, I doubt there are many Blazer fans who don't appreciate how clutch Roy was in the 4th . . . when all teams would focus on him.

Roy should have played this year and only come in the game with 5 minutes left.

LaMarcus plays better defense. He also runs on the fast break. ;)

And Wallace should play only in home games. Now THAT would be a circus-like season.

Seems like everyone is calling him a lock for the All Star game. I'll be real surprised if he doesnt get voted in.

Sadly our guards can't get him the ball on the fast break.

Hey, they've got their hands full just dribbling the ball. Have seen how bouncy that thing is? Takes a lot of coordination.
