I spoke to MikeDC on the phone today. We discussed the Bulls... I think he's a really smart guy about this stuff, and worry that his assessment is correct. That the Bulls are built to win in the regular season. It's hard to tell because our schedule has even really soft. Lots of teams with records like the Bobcats' 3-22. Not that I don't mind the blowouts and frequent victories... We are just not seeing how we really stack up against teams we have to beat to get past the ECF round. The Philly and Heat games are reason for serious concern. On the other hand, our schedule as been so soft until now that surely it will get very hard when we actually play teams with winning records for a bunch of games. When we do, we'll get a real sense of how good the team really is. In the meantime, enjoy the likely blowout tonight. I know I will?
Well, you've got to worry about something, I suppose. Could be true, but geez. Not enjoying the win too much. I'm not liking seeing Rose sit or Hamilton out...But appreciate the chance to keep rolling, and handily. But not worth watching, really.
Echo Good Hope's sentiments to Mike. You know you're in trouble when: (a) your half time stat stuffer award goes to Boris Diaw; and (b) Diaw only has scored six points. Yikes!
You know, watching the first half highlights, what a sloppy game. It was like a pool game where you shoot wildly and the balls still go in the pocket. And as for the "regular season team" label, I suppose that's a worry if they in fact lose in the first or second round. It could happen, I suppose. Indiana and Philly are both tough this year. If they make it to the conference finals and again lose to Miami, no shame in that, I think. The main thing is to keep improving, and not be lulled into complacency because of ineptness of the competition. Looking forward to the Boston game as a nice test. Go Bulls!
