A lot of things, unfortunately. The playoff seedings have supposedly already been solved, so I won't mention that. Playoff format and length (2-3-2 and 7-7-7-7) haven't, and I think they need to be. The first on might be changed, the second one doesn't have a chance.I agree with CB4 in that we need to open the game for big men. Unfortunately, that's not going to happen. David Stern just spent a lot of trouble revising the rules to focus on perimeter players, and he's not going to let the game focus back on the big men. At least no until it gets out of hand about 20 years down the line.Really, all of this is a never-ending pattern. For years and years, all MVPs were won by big men. Then came MJ. Even then, the game still didn't completely favor quickness and perimeter players until the rule changes a few years ago. Now, probably, after a while, they're going to revise it again to make it more balanced. Well, maybe. Fans like this kind of style, and if the fans like it, the NBA likes it.

Once again, I disagree with whoever says that the Finals should be changed from a 2-3-2 format to a 2-2-1-1-1 format. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with the 2-3-2 format. I don't want to hear "well, the team with the better record is at a disadvantage because they might lose all three games on the road, blah blah blah." Only TWICE IN HISTORY has the home team swept the three middle games ('04 Pistons, '06 Heat)... and if you are good enough to be the higher seed and make the Finals, you damn sure should be capable of winning on the road. Hell, the lower seeded team still has to win ATLEAST 1 game on the road to win the crown.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Justice @ Jul 18 2006, 03:19 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I'm not going to lengthen a joke just so that I don't upset a bunch of defensive Heat fans. You took it as a stab. It's not like I said Wade sucks and gets all the calls and is the only one. I guess I need to call the wah-bulence for you, huh.</div>Joke, right. Does that take it away from being a stab? I'm sure if I said "Dirk is a little pansy who choked in the playoffs" I will get over 10 responses under 5 minutes. I could care less if it was a joke or not, it seems everytime makes a joke about the refs it goes directly to Wade. If someone took a stab at Dirk I bet you would be a "defensive Mav fan" then.
