I believe the teams involved were LA, Sixers, Detroit and the Hornets? It was either the Hornets or Miami, I'm not completely sure on that one. The trade would have landed the Sixers Eddie Jones, Glen Rice and Jerome Williams. It was a complicated four team trade that almost went down had it not been for Matt, I'm sure Sixer fans are probably happy he did that though.

I'm not opposed to giving him more looks, but unless he develops a mindset to attack offensively, all the touches in the world aren't going to help. Look at the first few games after the All-Star break last season... Iggy got the same number of touches, but instead of passing it up and deffering to Webber, Iverson and Korver, he attacked. What happened? He scored 20+ points in a few straight games, and we won most (if not all) of them. His mindset is the #1 reason he isn't a big factor offensively.

if ollie starts billy king better drop dead im sick of hollie getting starter mins at pg and sg and he doesnt produce if ai leaves green will play real well he averaged like twenty when ai was out and yea iggy needs to improve his jumpshot and get a better mindset i think him at 2 and carney at three could work or bobby jones as a longshot but its possible with his Dcarney is really only 6'4 1/2 and 6'5 with shoes not 6'7 so he'd be the 2 and iggy the three

I LOVED when Ollie started. Why? Because Ollie played relentless defense, and pressured the opposing team's point guard EVERY possession, which only gave the other team 10-14 seconds to execute offensively instead of the 17-20 they got otherwise.I loved this line-up last year: Ollie, Iverson, Iguodala, Webber, Dalembert.

Actually, I just looked it up. The Sixers were 11-12 with Ollie starting, which produced a better winning percentage than the Sixers overall record.

    Sixers with Ollie starting
    11-12
    48% winning percentage

Sixers with Ollie comming off the bench
    27-32
    46% winning percentage

    Sixers overall in 05-06
    38-44
    46% winning percentage

So statistically speaking, the team did a little better with Ollie starting.

Ollie played defense, pressured the ball, and did all the little things for us that we were missing. We lost 12 of those games because he didn't play down the stretch... and that's where we lost MOST of our games.Ollie starting was the best option for us last year, but unfortunately Cheeks didn't play him down the stretch.
