heye ya go Mags, more fodder for ya...lol http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/218970/Source_Suns_Closer_Than_Ever_To_Making_Nash_Available
It looks like the possibility is open; but both Phoenix and Nash admit that he might stay just the same. He has definitely earned the right to retire a Sun.
This kinda brings up an old question I had. How good would the Mavs have been if they didn't trade Nash?
He will retire after making the all-star team and playing at a high level? I do not see PHX investing heavily in him and as a free agent he is not a player a team with cap space can build around since they would probably have a young roster. A team like the Blazers would be ideal since we are not going to attract a big name free agent anyway if we were to try to use cap space. Would not see anything happening until after the All Star game or March 1st though. Might even be up to the trade deadline since there is sure to be unhappy fans in PHX if a trade goes down.
He's said several times that he wants to finish his career in PHX. Based on the way he talks about it, it just seems like he'd rather retire then go to another team for a few years.
