Nate just doesn't want to be told to do by reporters, so he won't make the decision at that very moment when asked about it. We'll see what happens. The Wizards are beyond terrible so it's not the worst spot to try Nic.
Seriously, though. About freaking time. This will not only push Wessy to get better, but it will enable us to start out with better spacing and more versatile D. Move comes about 15 games too late, but I'll take it.
Why do I have the feeling that the second Nic messes up that Nate will pull him out and never put him back in the starting line-up?
I fully expect Nic to shoot 1-8 now and get benched for the rest of the year in favor of Luke Babbitt.
Ah, you're just nervous that this will set a precedent and we're going to want to take you out of the starting lineup.
I wonder how Nate is handling it? I hope he tells Nico he has confidence in him and he tells him he has the green light, and to not think or hesitate to shoot, and to play aggressive. I fear Nico will sense Nate is starting him under duress, and that he will be on a short leash, and that he will over think and hesitate. I have sometimes gotten the feeling that when Nate makes a move or a strategic change after strong public pressure, that he roots for failure. I hope I'm wrong. I hope Nico plays with a 'fuck you Nate' attitude.
I like your thinking! I'm so low right now I didn't even think of the usual conspiracy. I'd trade more than Wes and change. Now if Felton were also benched, we'd be on to something.
