    One thing Nate never does

    He never takes the blame

    "They outworked us"

    "They need to have pride"

"Can't wait for someone to rescue you"

    etc

I'd be surprised if the players for the most part like Nate as a person, but resent him as a coach

Well, I'm no Nate apologist, but it sure as hell looked like they quit on him out there on defense.

Nate just went with the trifecta

"We need to play with some scrappy, gritty passion"

Now is time for Nate to do his overachieving deal where he wins without Aldridge and saves face. We know you can do it Nate. You thrive with dire straits, and useless when dealt a full hand.

It used to crack me up when Wheels at Work was still on their air; they had this great drop of Kenny Vance cracking on Nate's use of "scrappy." I wish I had a copy of it.

To be fair, you can't force effort out of the players, and that's what was missing tonight.

Can people stop acting like this game is an isolated incident? The whole season the players haven't played with effort. Who's fault is that? The coach needs to take responsibility for not getting out of his players what is best.

This is the point in the movie where Roy comes lumbering out of the locker room and leads the team to a championship!

Roy is gone. He was reincarnated as Jeremy Lin.

The Blazers should go the professional wrestling route and put out teaser videos of a Roy comeback like wrestling used to do with wrestlers that have been away for a few months

Then a couple weeks later out of no where, show a shot of Roy watching the game from the rafters, put the spotlight on him of him overlooking the floor, and then quickly he goes out of sight

Another couple weeks after that, send 100's of fans from the stands wearing Brandon Roy masks, with Roy in there as well wearing a mask, so it's impossible to tell which one is Roy

Once Roy gets to the court he takes off his mask and the crowd erupts, Roy puts on a jersey and leads the Blazers to the championship

Used to be a big WCW/Sting fan

With this dismal start and LA unlikely to be able to play for a few games, this could be a back-to-back-to-back-breaking week.

And next week ain't no picnic.

Would you want to stay and watch your team with the $76 million dollar payroll (5th highest in the league) get dominated at home by a BAD team with a $56 million payroll (24th highest). We've already lost road games to the two lowest paid teams in the league (Pistons, Kings). Now we're losing home games, by double digits, to the underpaid, supposedly under talented teams.

You want to hear something really depressing? Not only does OKC have the best record in the entire league, their payroll is $20 million less than ours. I'm surprised Paul Allen isn't on suicide watch.

I think that undercut foul (although it wasn't called a foul) by I think Woods that injured Aldridge was a Bill Lambeer special. It should be reviewed by the league and penalized as heavily as an intentional blow to the head under the basket.'
I was worried when I read that nate was having a special session with Crawford to teach him how to be a PG. You cannot teach a guy at his age to be a PG, you will only confuse him. And we saw that in the game; behind by 14 or so in the second half and Crawford barely takes a shot.
