    For the second straight game, Jack Cooley was shoved to the floor by an opposing player. And for the second straight game, Cooley responded with a scoring outburst for Notre Dame.

    The 6-foot-9 forward scored 17 of his 22 points in the second half and had 18 rebounds to lead the Fighting Irish (No. 25 ESPN/USA Today, No. 23 AP) to a 71-53 victory over Rutgers on Wednesday night.
