I was looking at Failton's & Crawful's stats the other day and Failton is a career 41% FG shooter and 32% 3-pt shooter and assists to turnovers (per 36 minutes) is 6.9/2.7 which is about 2.5 ratio. Nothing there to impress me. As to Crawful, his FG/3 pt averages are 41%/35% and assist to turnovers (36 minute average) is 4.4/2.3 or over .50 ratio- again, nothing to write home about.

The NBA league average, taken over the last few seasons is about 45% FG/35% 3 pt. Essentially, they are statistically sub par players. Now, I realize stats are only a part of the story, but I'm not seeing any leadership from them as well. Neither is an outstanding hustle player and neither are particularly good defensively.

Is this really the best we could get and the hope of our future??

That's not the league average for point guards and shooting guards is it? You should only be comparing them to similar players, not counting team averages (which gets severely skewed by interior players on FG% and the fact that most teams only let their best three point shooters take a high volume of those kinds of shots.

Rebuilding sounds great and all and is needed IMO, but unless they actually get a GM with a PLAN...this is an excercise in futility....Buchanan should not be running this team as a GM (let alone drafting)....outside of maybe Elliot Williams his drafts have been a COMPLETE disaster....Nolan Smith? Luke Babbitt? Armon Johnson? Not one of these 3 guys look like they are NBA caliber players.....add in the throw away pick of Claver...and you have 3 straight years of ZERO help from drafts....

Aldridge, Batum that is the core going forward, maybe Williams, maybe you bring Freeland over next year and give him a chance....Outside of that...clean house....I am sure that there are teams that could use Gerald Wallace, Jamal Crawford, Marcus Camby, and even Wes Matthews as players coming off the bench forthe playoff stretch.....Unfortunately I doubt any team has much interest in Felton at this point.....

But again, all of this is moot until POR actually gets a frickin GMm and then settles on a plan moving forward....and time is running out on the trade front...

I don't hold out much hope for this happening....
