personally I'm more of a fan of the tradition of doing the Ric Flair "WOOOOOOOOO" after every made basket.

in all honesty I only saw two of OKC fans and all they did was hold up two signs. Not being an ass or anti envious... but I dont see the greatness of those pics sorry.

    Funny link though thanks! :)

I have always wanted to try:

    1. Absolute silence when an opposing player shoots a free throw. Might be next to impossible to do but would be so unique that it might be totally unnerving.

    2. Everyone behind the basket has the same color/kind of sign and slowly move back and forward creating depth perception hell.

So, all we need is a few fat shirtless white guys and some cardboard cutouts? Seems kind of lame to me.

I'm old school. We used to just throw apples or nails at him, whichever I happened to be chewing.

I saw a college game on TV last week where the student section was behind the opposing basket. Right before the player released the FT, the entire student section jumped up at the same time. They were dead silent before jumping. It startled me, and I was just watching on TV. Can't imagine how distracting it was for the guy shooting the FT.

Needless to say, the guy missed the FT.

The RG fans in the 300 level behind the hoop is who need to hold up big distracting signs. When at the FT line, that is where the players see thru the glass backboard. IMO, when shooting a FT, that would be harder to block out then the guys in the front rows behind the hoop.

My KU friend says that's what they do there -- not sure if it's a tradition elsewhere as well.

that guy is such a self promoting dipwad. He is there to be seen. Nothing more, nothing less. When the camera is on him its the equivelant of feeding a troll.

I've always said the team missed a great opportunity during all the JailBlazer nonsense.

They should have embraced the image, and tried to become the Oakland Raiders of the NBA. Have an arena full of people dressed in black, with red and white face paint, beating garbage can lids with hunks of pipe. Set up a gauntlet between the exit and where the refs park. (don't touch them - just line up and glare, curse, spit and flick blood on them)

Give the team a real home-court advantage - and have some fun to boot!

haha and thats fine by me as well. There are plenty of other people who love the Blazers just as much, but dont have to be seen to do it.

At the risk of turning this into a religion vs atheism thread.... it basically reminds me of how Pharisee's are portrayed in the bible.
