Whatever, Unequivocally knew this "news" was coming from CSN dwight jaynes or chris haynes

Go to their website, it's top page like always, Drama. Taking things out of context.

Why don't they ever post the whole conversation?? Answer me that.

You realize Haynes is the only reporter Felton is taking questions from, right?

And now all of the sudden Haynes is a liar?

Yeah, not buying it. Felton is too big of a wimp to have a real talk with Nate.

    Funny you say that.

This afternoon, Felton had this to say, "Last night was an emotional time for me and some of the quotes made to Chris Haynes were taken out of context by another reporter. I met with coach McMillan today and I want everyone to know that I am fully behind him and my coaching staff and they are in full support of me and my teammates." -ComcastDramaNet

    Yeah, he's a liar.

    I already went over that.

Some of you are on team Ray. Some of you are on team Nate.

Personally, I'm on team who-cares-neither-one-is-getting-the-job-done. Lock 'em both in a bathroom stall with chainsaws and let them fight it out.

Hate to be a killjoy, but in that situation, they'd probably use the chainsaws to cut themselves free of the locked bathroom stall.

That said, maybe it will bring them together and create a bond. Then both can be long-term Blazers together.

Nah, Felton would repeatedly drop the chainsaw on the floor and if he did actually hold onto it long enough to take a swipe at Nate, he'd miss badly.

Nate would ask Jamal Crawford to start the chainsaw by himself and when that failed five times in a row, he'd call a time out and give Crawford yet another chance to start it all by himself. That would fail, too.

Lots of noise and wasted energy, but unlikely to see any actual bloodshed.

In that case, just give me the chainsaw so I can cut my own head off!

Nate ran Miller out of town in favor of Felton. Fire Nate.

Some analyst believe it will take until after the all star break for some players to truly get into NBA game shape.

Felton relies on pushing the ball to be effective, problem is after the first five minutes he is gassed and ineffective because he is so out of shape. Maybe after the all star break we start seeing a different Felton. Got to hope for something.

I don't buy that at all. In fact, it's counter-intuitive. With the condensed schedule, the players should be rounding into game shape quicker than usual. The best way to get in game shape is to play in games. Playing more games in less time should accelerate conditioning. Hell, I played 13 games back during Thanksgiving weekend and felt like I was in the best shape of my life afterward, and Raymond Felton is barely half my age. If he can't play 5 minutes without getting gassed by now, it's going to be a very, very long lockout shortened season.

    So Immature.

Buy, right or wrong many NBA player's didn't think there would be a season and certainty didn't prepare for it.

No the right response is, "so funny."

Then fuck them for being lazy unprofessional assholes. These guys get paid shitloads of money to workout, stay in shape and presumably play the game they love (apparently some more than others). If Felton couldn't be bothered to at least prepare for the possibility that he might play in a very important year because of his expiring contract then he's not only lazy and unprofessional, but a dumbass too. There is no defense.

I find the "didn't think there was a season, ain't gonna practice" argument hilarious.

Hailblazers, please think about that really hard for a second. Do you see how ridiculous that is?

I work out nearly every day, I'm old, and no one wants to see me play basketball. And I have a day job. Some of these guys make like $20,000 a minute while they are on the court, and all they have to do is play basketball. There is no excuse for them to not work out and work on their game, constantly. LaMarcus did.

Ridiculous as it may be, many of these guys are gifted athletes and they'll ride their natural abilities to the bank while putting in as little work as possible. The lockout was simply an easy excuse for them to chill out because their teammates/coaches are not around to hold them to account, it's human nature really.

This is what lawyers call "an argument that proves too much." If Felton is still out-of-shape 30 games into the season, and if it is for the reason you offer, that is simply intolerable.

If this is true, Felton should be benched for disciplinary reasons. Whatever "pain" it would cause Nate to let Smith and Williams play, it is better than letting Felton get away with it. You can't demand discipline and professionalism from some players, and not others. If one guy gets away with it, you lose the entire team.

They were "locked out" by the owners. They didn't owe anybody anything until they were let back in.
