http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/powerRankingsSome problems I have with it:Clippers are too highWizards are too lowRockets are too lowRaptors too lowHawks too highMagic too lowKings are too high after losing BonziThose are the main problems I have with it. Worth a read...Thoughts?
Pistons are too low too. So what if they lost Big Ben, their still one of the top 5 teams in the league.
Their offense isnt that good, and their defensive chemistry and defense in general will take a pretty big hit after losing Ben. He orchestrated the defense. Players won't fear the Pistons as much without Ben. I think 8 is about good for them..
I think its ridiculous to put Detroit at #8 after they just had the best record in the NBA last season. Sure, they lost Ben Wallace, but he is not as good as everybody thinks he is. They got Nazr Mohammad who was under utalized in SA. In the 2004-2005 playoff's he played great for the spurs grabbing them alot of boards(a ton of them on the offensive side). Nazr is better on offense than Ben Wallace and he can actually shoot free throws. They should be around #4 to me.How in the hell are the Magic 2nd to last? They have soon to be one of the best players in the league and a guard in Jameer Nelson who showed flashes of brilliance at times this year. Darko is improving and they just drafted a shooter in JJ. Sure, we dont know if he will be healthy but he can score the basketball. straight up. Im perdicing the Magic to make the playoffs.
Why is everyone so critizal about every power ranking that goes out on the web. You guys do realize that its just someones personal opinion of how he ranks teams, right?
Toronto was one of the worst teams in the NBA last year and they didn't make any moves that will have a great effect next year, they are where they should be.Dime Magazine should not be allowed to write for Fox, everyone i've read from them is ridiculously off.
Look at out depth chart..pg-TJ FordJose CalderonJohn Salmonssg-Mo PeteJohn SalmonsAnthony Parkersf-Joey GrahamAndrea BargnaniPJ TuckerAnthony Parkerpf-Chris BoshAndrea BargnaniJorge GarbajosaPJ Tuckerc-Rasho NesterovicAndrea BargnaniPape SowWe didn't make any moves right? We have have a very good depth team. We have one of the top pg's in the League, one of the best players and PF's in the League, a great role SG who can shoot, score, defend, and he can guarentee you 82 games a season pretty much. We also have alot of fire power off the bench. We will be better then 24th...I guarentee it.
Nuggets are right where they should be. Until they get away KMart for youth and/or a shooter they are fine.

Ford is a nice pickup but you lost Villanueva for him so you have to add that into the equation...T.J. Ford was not one of the leagues best PG's last year....We all know Bosh can score and that he's a star but inside your defense is like a turtle thats flipped on it's shell....soft and exposed...Ford cannot keep opposing players ahead of him....terrible defensivly...Bargnani will terrible on defense. Jorge Garbajosa and Anthony Parker have not proven anything so far. John Salmons have been a decent backup. I just don't see it.
Detroit should be higher. i don't think the clippers are too high. And the raps aren't too low.The Cs ranking should go up when they get AI. :nasty:

Their much better than the Balzers. I think the Bobcats should be a little higher. T'Wolves are too high. An ofcourse Philadelphia is too low.

I like where the wolves are, and I think that they will end up right around there. Its a wierd situation though because we could win the division and be a three seed, or be around an eight seed. That new division thing could work out really well for us this year. Wizards are to low. They didn't get any worse from last season, did they?

..And they still have a poor defense. They will make the playoffs though. There is basically nothing in the East after the first 5 seeds (Cleveland, Miami, New Jersey, Chicago and Detroit).
They aren't half bad though, it took a bunch of gamewinners to make them lose against the Cavs if anyone remembers. They have one of the best turnover defenses, meaning they force alot of steals and turnovers. Caron is getting better along with Arenas. Not saying there a serious contender but they have a pretty good team.
