"Othella complements our team well and is a veteran player who can serve as a mentor to our younger players in the frontcourt," said Bobcats coach Bernie Bickerstaff, who's also the team's general manager. "He brings the toughness that we have displayed in our first two seasons and he understands his role in the team concept on both ends of the floor."</div> http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/415...lla_harrington/Good signing for the Cats, he's a servicable big man who can bang inside and can get some rebounds for you. He has a jumpshot 15 ft out and averaged 8 pts with the Bulls just 2 seasons ago. He provides leadership and can be a mentor for guys like Okafor.
Good signing. He's a vet who can bang inside on offense and also shoot the jumper pretty well for a guy his size. I wonder who will start on the Bobcats; Brezec or Othella?

Playing Othella makes them go small and doesn't play to Okafor's strength. Good signing, but I don't see him getting a whole lot of time. Maybe similar to Chicago but I expect guys like Brezec, Okafor, May, and Ely to play over him.
I dont think this does a whole lot for them....i mean, he isnt awful but there are already younger guys ahead of him that are better. I guess he can be used as a mentor...Primo Prezec is WAY better than Othella CB4. Its not even close....Also, Melvin Ely is improving and May is going to get alot of minutes also. He was injured for alot of last years season but when he was healthy, he did fairly well.
It's a good signing if they make the playoffs. Having a wise big man to play it out. He won't see too many minutes at all though. He's just going to be a mentor for the young guys.
