So you don't think he's a perfect compliment to Aldridge?

Orlando would have 6-10 million maybe in cap space. They'd have shit Hedo on the books for 2 more years. As well as Davis, Richardson and Duhon all still being overpaid. Carmelo....He's not going to sulk because he wants to be the man? He was the man in Denver. Wasn't happy there.

Tough shit Melo or Chandler. If you had a problem, then you should of pulled a Kobe and written in a no trade clause to your contract. This is a business. At least that's what so many people in this forum keep telling me.

Chandler would be fine being in Portland. He would have a great shot to go far in the playoffs with just him being added to this ball club. Melo is a competitor and if he didn't want to be traded then he should of helped his team win. So far, he has become a commodity in NY. They really don't need him.

turk's deal does suck for a rebuilding team. Out of your deals, I take Lopez, Marshon and all the picks I can get out of them, and send them hedo, and if possible, someone else.

We are taking Richardson, so he's good. Duhon's contract is hardly toxic. Hedo for two years isn't toxic either. He is still scoring and has a high PER. It's not like he's playing like shit or something.

Orlando already made it public they didn't want what NJ offered. If NY offered Melo, they jump on it. Melo's name alone will sell 10-15k tickets, even if they are losing.

Hedo sucks, and would suck worse playing PF alongside Carmelo. No.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Perfect complement? I don't know if he's perfect. He'd be a solid complement...guys who can defend and rebound are generally good complementary players on any team. If Portland had a really good pick-and-roll or alley-oop point guard, he'd be a pretty excellent fit.

You didn't see the announcement from their GM when the rumor was out in the open? They declined the offer. You don't remember?

They wouldn't get a draft pick then. It's not like Orlando has a choice unless they are fine losing him for nothing.

No as in No speaking as a Orlando GM? It's really an easy fix. Any they need to do is lose the rest of the way and they get a high draft and find the PF or Center while big baby plays PF or Center. Turk is only gonna have 2 more seasons. You guys act like it's a BRoy contract (5 years 60 mil+) or something! LOL

Turk can play SG, wharves it really doesn't matter. They are rebuilding and getting a locked in superstar that will sell you 10-15k tickets on his name alone is well worth it.

I remember them saying they weren't trading Dwight. I don't recall their GM coming out and saying we have formally rejected the offer of Lopez and Gerald Wallace for Dwight. No.

So their rebuilding around Carmelo, but have very little cap space to do anything, and are locked into long deals with big Baby, Jason Richardson? and no good picks? How is that a rebuild? That's retooling into a shit team, but not high lotto pick bad. They can lose every game after that trade, and they likely are still outside of the top 5 for their pick. But, with Carmelo,a dn keeping Hedo, etc., they probably win a few games. They're 22-12 right now. They need to bottom out, and you have them likely still getting to 30-ish. Not a great rebuild.

meanwhile, orlando has the 5th best record in the nba, and the ability to pay dwight 25 million more than anyone else this summer, call his bluff

and if every player they brought in didnt drastically under perform expectation, they might actually have a good title shot one of these years

They do have a choice. Yes to Lopez, Brooks, and possibly 4 picks. Houston's and NJ's this year. And, maybe even NJ's in 2014 and 16

Yeah they did that before when they lost Shaq to L.A. Remember they were contenders?
