    Says Chris Broussard:

Quick, do it now before we get home and he plays well again.

If we got a trade exception for him, that might be more valuable to some teams than Gerald himself.

That was the deal where they got 4 first rounders, right?

and then does it matter how many picks we get when out talent evaluators suck?

Something like that. I can't see why Orlando would do it, to be frank.

Maybe, like Portland's front office, they're idiots.

That would be the ideal trade for us.

Or is it more that the talent around our picks suck? I know everybody's crapping themselves over Faried right now, but remember how awesome we thought Craig Smith was at the beginning of the year? Let's see how Faried pans out in the long run. I bet if Nolan was getting minutes on some injury-plagued team he would be producing numbers too.

It's not very likely that Faried doesn't pan out. After all, he holds NCAA's record for rebounding.

I don't think Nolan Smith would produce in any circumstance. He has looked utterly atrocious.

I was very much against this trade at the beginning of the year, but now I'm ready to part with Wallace. I think the guy really heading into the twilight of his career.

On the Blazers drafting ability: interesting how there are only 2 players in our rotation that we drafted (or traded for on draft day). With all the high picks we've gotten over the last 10 years, this is obsene. And it's not like we drafted good players that bolted, none of our lottery cast offs are doing well anywhere else.

It's pretty clear that Dwight is going to leave in FA if they don't deal him. They better take the NJ deal before they end up with nothing.

If they make a deal for Monta Ellis and think that it will keep Dwight in Orlando, they are kidding themselves.

Worthless late round picks that the team won't even see until years into the future. If that is all Wallace is worth, maybe they should just let him walk.

A team like the Spurs might turn those picks into something useful...but the Blazers can't even be trusted with decent picks.

To give the team another dimension aside from jump shooters.
