I actually think it has more to do with the coach. And a player like Nash will expose it. I know I'm in the minority here, but I think we have enough talent. We just don't have a leader to keep the team focused.
I don't think Allen has lost passion for the Blazers. If so why court and bring in an old vet and cut a young player that will only cost Allen more money. Allen is trying desperately to build a championship team on the fly. It's tough to build a championship team by any route, but trying to continue to improve when you lost your three time all star (with nothing in return) and lost the supposed pillar to the championship and the #1 draft pick (again with nothing in return) . . . that is tough for any organization to overcome. I think if there is any fault by Allen, it is he is being too passionate and won't let that taste of being the up and coming team that will be perennial championship contender for years out of his mouth. I think he still thinks he can get there riding LA and putting pieces around him. Should he let it go and start over . . . Allen has too much passion for that.
