Something is fishy. Either he is getting traded, or Crawford is. What are your thoughts?

If we could get Nash, I think that improves Matthew's game, IMO. He is a rhythm shooter and we don't have guards that can get him a shot in Rhythm. I actually don't mind a rotation of Matthews and E Will, if we had a player like Nash running point.

Or gee maybe there's no conspiracy at all? The kid looks like he can play a little bit, he's athletic, he's long armed, he defends and he's not afraid to pull the trigger.

    Agree with Nik!
He only played 11 minutes. Case closed.

Chris Johnson played 10 minutes! Are we "showcasing" him too?!??! What's going on?!?!?

Stop starting threads like this and post more pics of your girlfriend!

Totally agree, not enough minutes for Elliott.

I hope they aren't looking to add him in a trade, he really is our only young player with what I'd consider an NBA future. You trade Elliott, we have a whole pile of yuck once you get past about player 7 in our rotation.

He'll be a valuable commodity this summer, when we hopefully begin to reshape this roster. Young, cheap, NBA talent who can fill in holes in the backcourt will allow us to spend money at other positions of need.

I think the team sucked ass against a team they should have handled easily and Nate was trying to find a combination that worked. He needs to play more

Find a way to dump Matthews and Wallace at this point for a fat contract and somehow a shot at a legitimate second All-Star. Three team deal, four team deal, whatever it takes.

Rebuild with LMA as the centerpiece, and Batum and Elliot Williams as building blocks. I think it's worth a few years of Steve Nash, because Gerald Wallace is a complete enigma on any given night, and Matthews is a bench player, at best.

Come on MM, that was laughable. Of any poster in this forum; coming from you, it becomes a joke. When has Nate made a mid game adjustment like this? Not his style. It takes months before he tries something new. Obviously something is up. Nate was told to play E Will more, or told some other players won't be here in a couple weeks. Nate is doing what Nate always does. Will change only when he has to.

I agree...move forward with Aldridge, Batum and Elliot Williams...Dump everyone else.....

You have cap space next year to hopefully get a significant player or two...a likely lottery pick in a strong draft and then a prospect in Freeland coming over next year as well...

But then again, you have NO GM, and a scout on Buchanan who is fucking horrible....I don't trust him to make the right decisions....

Thomas was hurt dude and Craig Smith was playing like shit. Crawford was actually playing well. You would think he would have gotten more burn. Also, Wallace was playing like shit, yet he got a lot of burn too. I'm not trying to be trolling here. There really seems like something's up.

I disagree...who has looked better than Williams of late? Felton? Matthews? Nolan Smith? All of them have looked terrible....

Young guy with potential. If we want to make a move to acquire young proven talent, we'll have to deal E-Will with a Crawford, Wallace, or Felton.

For the record, I don't advocate dealing E-Will. I like him a lot, and he'll be a starter in this league eventually, or a solid 6-man. But for the right deal....

With the way Portland is playing the best way to showcase a player is not to play them.

I understand that you disagree. I would too. But knowing Nate and his personality and coaching pattern; he doesn't put someone in that is clearly better in one game. And remember Batum was the starting SG; while Matthews came in as a reserve.

I'm with you man. I've really become a fan of E Will. The dude has ice running through his veins. He isn't afraid to take a big shot. I think besides Batum and Aldridge; he is the most valuable player in the view of other teams.
