Would you trade Felton/Batum/Ewill for Rondo and Pietrus? I'd take the Batum risk because he would have to be included, don't know if I'd include EWill. Tough one for me, I'd try to offer them Jamal or rights to Claver or Freeland or something like that.
I don't think they're going to trade Rondo. I really want to see what Batum can do. I love Rondo, but Batum could be about to burst out. (I would have no problem including Williams - I don't think players like him are that rare.)
people know I'm the biggest Rondo fanboy out there, I have no idea if they're trading him or not. There was a Rondo for Pau Gasol rumor going around, I would take this over that any day. I don't know what his value is because clearly I overrate him
C'mon really? all those guys are average or below, including batum and rondo. Who cares if they make that trade? It is lateral.
You mean because Aldridge shoots long jumpers and Rondo takes it to the rim every time? Works for me!
If you're insinuating that Rondo wouldn't work because if his jumpshot... LMA was a monster with Andre Miller, FWIW.
This is a good point. Plus its really not that difficult to find role players who can knock down open 3's. You'd just need to do a little roster shuffling with the auxiliary players. What little I've heard from Boston fans, no, apparently hes an asshole of epic proportions. Not only with Doc but with all his teammates. Don't let the diva thing take away from your perception of him on the court though. Hes tough as nails and clearly always makes the right basketball play. Hes just a major prick off the court, to the point where some thing he may have some kind of social/mental issue. Dunno if Nate could handle him very well.
Not wanting to start ANOTHER Rondo thread, I picked this one to post this in. Apparently Danny Ainge was THISCLOSE to trading Ray Allen and Paul Pierce at the deadline because he "loves the talent in the 2012 NBA draft". Suppose we end up with around the #7 and #11 picks (what we'd have if the season ended right now and there was no lottery for the top 3) - would you give those up for Rondo? Would you give those up AND Batum?
How is this a tough question? Of course you would make that trade. As for current day, I would rather trade 1 of the picks for Kyle Lowry, or simply sign Dragic. Lowry is really good, and I hope the Blazers make every effort to get him.
I'm still not sure if you intentionally take both sides of every discussion, so you have the opportunity to complain at all times or what.
That one was for fun. I don't like Rondo because I truly believe there is a reason they are shopping him.
