Rob Moseley @DuckFootball Oregon receiver Josh Huff arrested early Saturday on DUII charge after being stopped for speeding University of Oregon wide receiver Josh Huff faces a drunken-driving charge stemming from a traffic stop early this morning, a Eugene police spokesman said. Huff, 20, was cited for driving under the influence of intoxicants after a police officer stopped his Chrysler Seville at the corner of 18th Avenue and Agate Street, near the UO campus, police said. The officer had seen the vehicle speeding in the area before the 1:35 a.m. stop, police said. Huff was compliant with officers at the scene, police said. Huff, a 5-foot-11, 207-pound native of Houston, Texas, is Oregon’s top returning wide receiver for 2012, when he will be a junior. In 2011, Huff caught 31 passes for 430 yards and two touchdowns, despite playing through a lower leg injury that caused him to miss two games. Huff also returned eight kickoffs as a sophomore, for 174 yards, a 21.8-yard average. Also what in the hell is a Chrysler Seville?!? Sounds like he put a Cadillac hood ornament on a LeBaron.
we're so stacked at WR i could care less if he's kicked off the team. First the complaining about his lack of touches on offense via twitter last season, followed by sulky mood swings. Now a DUI. I get that he's good, and one of our only proven upperclassmen, but we're LOADED at WR right now. I want to see BJ Kelley, Devon Blackmon, Tacoi Sumler, maybe even Eric Dungy get some touches next year. Not to mention we're going to be throwing a lot of balls to Colt Lyerla next year, and we have guys like Dwayne Stanford, Bralon Addison, and Chance Allen waiting in the wings.
I mean throwing weapons will be Colt and DAT, possibly Bralon and Chance as well. Running, obviously DAT, Barner, Marshall and possibly Tyner as a True Freshman. If we can rotate those guys in, we can wear defenses to the ground
