since PA seems to be going "cheap" with no "real" GM I have a suggestion, fire the entire scouting staff as they are worthless and just rely on a site like draftexpress and/or nbadraft. net, we would have been better off going that way in the past and you can save money and the team being torpedoed by horrible picks! Fire the coach, too. He's alienated the players and they have tuned him out. They are underachieving mightily. Just roll the ball out and let them play. The results couldn't possibly be any worse. If fact, they might be better. If there is no coach to blame, the players might actually start to hold themselves, and each other, accountable. BNM
Let the fans vote on draft picks. When the Blazers are on the clock, fans have two minutes to text in their vote for who the Blazers should pick. We can't do worse.
Two problems with that theory: First, if left up to the fans, we'd have Adam Morrison right now. Second, what would keep fans of the teams picking after us from stuffing the ballot box and forcing us to pick someone useless so the player they want will fall to them? I like the idea of just using draftexpress or maybe a combination of the top six or eight mock draft sites. BNM
