That game last night is exactly why I hate Nate Robinson. He has Monta on Calderon and Lee who's on fire and he takes 3 shots down the stretch in a game that's there to take. I can't wait until he's no longer on the Warriors. Too bad this front office is too scared to make any kind of moves, Nothing would make me happier than starting over. Move everyone
I blame Mark Jackson. Nate is who he is. He can get hot and keep you in games but why does MJ insist on playing him in crunch time? Its fine if hes in with the bench crew and hes as good of an offensive option as any but his awful shot selection is killer down the stretch. Not to mention how much of a liability he is on defense. It just makes no sense to have him in there with 5 minutes or less left in the game.
He should come in and out in spurts, just to change the energy when the team is playing lazy ball. That's it... He usually pounds the ball for 5-10 seconds then forces someone into a horrible shot if he doesn't find a terrible shot for him to take. He's here on a 1 year deal, I'd much rather see Jenkins out there, personally. I hated him before he came here and hate him even more now.
If I were Curry I'd be pissed. You say you want me to be the "franchise" guy, yet you make me stand in the corner in the 4th while NATE ROBINSON pounds the ball with the shot clock winding down? Ridiculous. MJax says "defense 1st" then plays Nate? Really? Nate, the guy who is 2 for 12 and was let go by 3 teams in 4 years?
I hope the real reason Curry is sitting is to rest his feet, but man I agree. The warriors are hard to watch. They preach one thing but do the opposite. Curry and Lee should be our "franchise" players at the moment. They are the guys that make everyone around them better without dominating the offense the way combo guys like Nate Robinson do.
