Ouch, I kept telling my Warriors fan friend, "It's not gonna happen, it's not gonna happen". I can't wait to gloat.

was it with a sign and trade or did they just sign him? This will make them very good either way if they kept peja.

he'll probably want more than the MLE, so it's probably a S&T.my guess is something like Al for Anthony Johnson + filler.

o ok...i dont think that they would give up to much. I think atlanta just needs something out of it so anthony johnson wouldnt be too bad. they dont have a quality point guard. im not saying that anthony johnson is good but you cant be much worse than royal ivey or tyron lue...

Wow, real nice save by the Pacers. I see them going back to the playoffs next year. Al is better then Peja. He can play defense, rebound, score downlow, shoot. He is very athletic, and he will help them out by a ton. I wonder who they are giving up though. Maybe a pg like Anthony Johnson and someone else, or a draft pick. I cant wait for the details to be released.

I bet it's for the trade exception, of course a pick will be added as well, as the exception can't be traded by itself. But it was a huge exception, 7.5 mil I think, that they received from the Hornets via Peja sign and trade. So they basically traded Peja for Harrington in a way, which is a very nice acquisition and finally reasonable move by the Pacers. This in a way though effects Granger and their new draft pick Shawne Williams for playing time.

However Anthony Johnson would be nice for the Hawks. He is pretty underrated. He filled in quite nicely and was the starter at the point for most of the season last year. He had a career season. He is only 32 and would be a nice backup to Speedy. No matter what this is great for the Hawks. They get something for Harrinton and free up minutes to develop their younger talents. I wonder if the Pacers could go "small"(6'9 and 6'11 in the frontcourt isn't that small) ball shifting O'Neal to the 5 and Harrington at the 4?

I think thats something they may do..

It was a nice way to rebound from losing Peja. The Pacers did great by getting him. Now him, and JO be a nice combo. :happy0144:

Will this deal just be completed already? They announced it a week ago on the net, then a few days ago people said it was nearly done, still nothing. Nobody has said anything on who is going to be in the trade. They have given predictions and assumptions, but no real info other than "Al Harrington will be traded to the Pacers." I want info.
