Ok I don't know what is going on but Frank Edgar has announced on Twitter that the UFC has granted him a rematch scheduled for the summer.

Does anyone think Frank won the fight? I mean, after I watched it there was really no doubt in my mind that Bendo had won. Certainly not a dominant performance but still a convincing win under the unified rules.

Dunno why they let the air out of the Miller/Diaz fight or even hinted that Pettis would get a shot if this was ever a possibility.

I didn't watch the fight, now I must see it.

FWIW I was pretty cross faded but I thought Henderson won but both of my two friends I watched with thought Edgar won it. It was a close one, could have gone either way, I thought Henderson won though.

Like I said before, I love Edgar but I'm getting sick of the rematches. Edgar-Penn 1, Edgar-Penn 2, Edgar-Maynard 2, Edgar-Maynard 3, Edgar-Bendo 1, and now Edgar-Bendo 2? Lightweight is perhaps the deepest division and there's so many deserving guys who are completely stonewalled and so many different combinations of great fights to be seen. I'd rather shuffle some other guys into the title matches and try to find room for a re-match down the road.

Edgar is a DFW favorite though and if he wins a re-match like he did against Maynard it would be somewhat legendary. Can't help but think how much fun some Edgar/Diaz, Bendo/Diaz, Pettis/Edgar, Pettis/Bendo 2, etc. etc. fights would be. Meanwhile Gilbert Melendez is slated to fight Josh Thomson again...SMH.

That's very interesting...maybe Frankie's record in rematches has an influence?

I think at this point I would rank Edgar as the slight favorite as well. Sort of a gut feeling but part of that is just seeing him fight, seeing him fight rematches, etc. There's also the factor of what adjustments will be made. What is Ben Henderson going to do differently next time around? I don't really know what he could do differently. Edgar, on the other hand, could do a lot differently IMO. I think Edgar has more to gain from having already gone 5 rounds with one another and being able to make adjustments the second time around.
