New York Post - After being told about trade rumors printed in the Wallstreet Journal that would send third baseman Alex Rodriguez to the Phillies, the Yankees star laughed. "It doesn't make any difference," Rodriguez said of the rumor that had the Yankees third baseman going to the Phillies as part of a blockbuster trade for Bobby Abreu, Pat Burrell, Tom Gordon and David Bell, with the Yankees supposedly also sending Melky Cabrera and a player to be named. "I would veto it."

I think it would be stupid of the Yankees to trade him at this point in the season, but if they really wanted to, it's pathetic for ARod to veto that. I can't imagine ARod could play any worse, and NY is playing fantastically even without his help. There's nowhere to go but up.

I wish Yankee fans would lay off the guy. New York fans are such idiots, 'let's boo and rattle a player that obviously doesn't play well under pressure and then bi*ch when he makes mistakes.'.... [IMG]

I dont know if you guys know, but his offensive game isnt that bad. Sure, he is leading all 3rd basemen in errors but dont you think that has something to do with the pressure he is getting from the yankee fans? He is being watched by TONS of people not only at the stadium but at home. He is still hitting home runs and getting RBI's. Just give the guy a brake and some more time...As for the trading rumors...those are a big joke. Last year, he was the MVP of baseball. He isnt going to be traded. period

I doubt that he would get traded. Even though he has made a lot of errors, he still has a great offensive game. Plus, he has done a lot for the Yankees, why would they trade him? :dunno:

I dub this "Chuck Knoblauch Syndrome." Still, ARod should have gotten a vaccination since he is making more money than God.Trivia: Chuck Knoblauch went to my college, Texas A&M.I never really liked him, though.

Trailing in the AL East and behind the white sox in the wildcard chase. In other words i like them how they are because they wouldnt be in the playoffs if they started today :yahoo:
