Washington Post - Yao Ming spoke confidently about his injuries during a press conference held on Friday. "As to my injury, I don't have any major concerns. Everything's going really smoothly," Yao told reporters. Yao was wearing sneakers and walking without a trace of discomfort, adding there were no worries about his recovery. "Do I look like a guy with a foot injury?" he asked.

He's already exercising and training at full capacity, and has been doing so for a while. So no surprise. Still another 10 days before he can play, though. Doctor's orders.

Good news for the Rockets. TMac and Yao are both supposed to be feeling fine. Tmac + Yao = playoffs. I dont care what the rest of the team looks like. If both of these guys are healthy, the Rockets are atleast going to the playoffs..

Good to hear, I have to admit I thought Rockets and Mavs were on the brink of a great rivalry. If everything went well for Rockets last year, who knows their could have been a rematch in the first round again. Looking forward to the jostling with Rockets fans over the course of the season that made the 05' Playoffs a lot of fun and into that following offseason. It's funny looking back and hearing all the Rockets fans mock our offseason(Christie/Diop to their Swift/Anderson pickups.) So far I think Rockets offseason has slowly come together, it's not about names, adding Lucas, Battier, Snyder and developing a couple other young guys in Novak and Carroll as 3 pt threats. I like what their doing.

Yao needs to put on muscle BADLY. If you think he is dominant now add 25lbs-50lbs to his frame and you have a the best player in the league.

He puts on 50 lbs and you have a Shaq, and a less athletic one who's slower -- a lot slower. Yao has no need to put on more muscle, he's in perfect condition. 7% body fat, too, which is great for someone his size. In short, he's put on all the muscle he needs.

He needs to gain muscle. Maybe not 50lbs, but at least 20-30lbs. You can easily gain muscle and still be as athletic, if not more athloetic, then you once were. More muscle would help him getting bit*hed around in the paint like he usually does.

He usually gets a player to 5-10ft and has that little hook, but it's still rare when he overpowers a player to where he is in position to dunk off of a postup.

This is excellent new for the Rockets. With a fully healthy ball club threw the hole season, this team will make the playoffs. But I dont see them being fully healthy. With Tracy, it is always something. He hasnt had a full season since he has been in the league. If Tracy misses 20 games, they might still make it though. Still, great news to hear if you are a rockets fan

C'Mon. Two seasons ago it was just minor. He only missed 4 games. And if you havn't heard the new TMac is working out everyday, goes to rehab just incase and he is in great shape.

He doesn't go for raw power, he goes for a more finesse game. And even then, he still uses his power a lot.

He's powerful, but with only 9RPG, and of course just watching games and seeing him get pushed around, shows he isn't strong and agressive enough yet. He also needs to build up that stamina (which he appears to be doing). If the Rockets want to get farther in playoffs then they did in 2004-2005, they need him to be playing more minutes.
