Who do you think will get the wildcard spot in the AL this year and why?

The Blue Jays of course :DNah, I think it will be the White Sox. When would be the last time that a team out of the AL East won the wild card?

Call me crazy, but I have a hard time believing that Minnesota will be around much longer. Toronto I could also see having a hard time, because they have to play the Yankees and Red Sox quite a few more times. I have heard that the White Sox schedule is pretty difficult as well. I think it's pretty much too close to even call at this point. 2.5 games back is pretty much nothing, and the Yankees are hot.

If the white sox keep on this losing streak the Twins could move into second in the division and grab the wild card. Theyve won seven straight again and 18 of 19 before the all star break so theyre playing very well. Yankees aren't going to win the division because the red sox will stay hot then the yankees will be playing .500 ball and blow it. I got the twins getting the wild card they arent to far out of it now i believe :happy0144:

Before that, they had won 7 in a row. 7 out of 9 is hot, I believe. It's not .500 ball, either. And ARod is playing like crap, which has been a major factor in them losing at all. If he gets hot, it will not be good for any AL team. Might not happen, but I don't think he'll be in that slump forever.Yeah okay, Minnesota is hot right now. Who have they played? TAMPA BAY AND CLEVELAND. THEY ARE TERRIBLE TEAMS OUT OF CONTENTION. And no, Minnesota was not 18 of 19 before the break. In fact, they only won one game in their last five before the break. When they play Chicago, Detroit, and Texas all in a row, we'll see how well they do. Come on.Edit: I forgot to mention that Minnesota is a young team with little late-season contention experience, whereas the Yankees haven't missed the playoffs since 1994.

The Blue Jays have one of the best batting teams in the whole MLB. We are great at offense, we just need more consistent pitching. AJ Burnett is on and off the DL, Gustavo Chacin is on the DL. We have Ted Lilly and Roy Halladay who we can count on to have good pitching games. Everyone else is sort of on and off. Next year. I don't think we can pull it off this year to tell you the truth. Teams with inconsistent pitching just won't do well..

And what i meant by the yankees i know 7 in a row is hot but i mean if they play .500 ball for the rest of the season they may not be able to get in. The Twins may not be playing teams that will be in the playoffs but they still need to beat them to get in and a winning streak is a winning streak no matter who your playing. You can never count anyone out and i think they can beat the white sox and the yankees but the tigers are playing really good so theyll have trouble with them. And on the fact the yankees havent missed the playoffs since '94 Theres more teams that are in the wildcard race now that all could compete for the spot im not saying the yankees wont make it if they dont win the divisiion im just saying that there are other teams that can beat them out to get the wildcard. And yes i think the reason for the yankees losing the past few games is because A-Rod is playing like crap.
