<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Former NBA player Shawn Kemp was arrested and charged in Harris County today on a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana. The Sheriff's Department said Kemp, 36, was pulled over by a deputy in the 13500 block of Alief-Clodine shortly after midnight for driving without a license plate. During the traffic stop, the deputy said he smelled "an odor of burnt marijuana" coming from Kemp's car where he later found less than two ounces of marijuana.Kemp's car was towed and he was transported to Harris County Jail and later released after posting a $500 cash bond, authorities said. His court appearance is scheduled for July 28.Kemp, who played for the NBA for 14 years, retired in 2003 and currently lives in Houston. He appeared in six NBA All-Star games and was a member of the gold-medal winning Dream Team II at the 1994 World Championships of Basketball.Kemp was a six-time All-Star early in his career when he played for the Seattle SuperSonics and Cleveland Cavaliers, but had weight and drug problems during his last few seasons.Kemp averaged 14.6 points and 8.4 rebounds a game during his 14-year career with Seattle, Cleveland, Portland and Orlando. In April 2005, Kemp was arrested for possessing small amounts of cocaine and marijuana in his truck. In 2001, he checked into a rehabilitation clinic for cocaine use. Kemp was also featured in a story by Sports Illustrated in 1998 detailing athletes with out-of-wedlock children. The article said he reportedly fathered at least seven children by six different women.</div>This guy is such a joke. Just give it up Shawn, and go smoke some more pot and get more women pregnant. :no1:

I guess he's not going to make that comeback anymore...Anyway if Kemp is really serious about coming back to the NBA he has to stay out of trouble. What was he thinking?
It's funny how everyone loves to bash Shawn Kemp. It's actually very sad, because this guy was amazing back in the day. Check this out:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlAuCLFqjmY
Yes, but he's not innocent. This guy has done alot of stupid things, and deserves to get hate for it. He did drugs, had an alchohol problem, and is said to have 7 kids from 6 different women.

It's not like he killed someone like Jayson Williams. The only person he's hurt is himself...and Sonics fans.

He brought it on himself even though I feel it's taken overboard at times. You can't really feel any remorse in his situation, it's his fault. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Well I'm sure his heart appreciates it.</div> I'm sure his heart would appreciate no more drugs too.
He deserves all the critisizm that he recieves. He has had several children with several different women, every few years he gets in trouble for drugs. I cant feel sorry for somebody that brings that upon themself

I know one of my friends got pulled over the other day with marijuana in his pocket but he didnt get caught with it. if it was just a regular person that wanst famous, this wouldnt be viewed as serious
