They take WAY to many 3's at the end of games when Blake can't get anything done save O rebounding even with Paul as his PG.
Not enough defense. Not one of those guys you listed was a great defender. Nash was/is terrible. Amare could be ok for stretches. Marion was a good and interesting defender, but a good post-up PF (as in Tim Duncan regularly crushing the Suns fun) owned him. So, put Amare on Duncan? No, that didn't work. Game over. 3 out of the 4 years the Suns got bumped from the playoffs the Spurs, with future Hall-of-Fame, post dominating Tim Duncan was the team that bounced them. The other year it was peak performance Dirk who knocked them out. Duncan was the Suns brick wall like Shaq and Jordan were to other teams. The Suns needed a Duncan "stopper" and never got one.
if we cant get draft picks or young talent for them without killing capspace then i dont blame management. Sent from my LS670 using Tapatalk
If we go another off season without getting anything for expiring contracts then I absolutely blame management
we want capspace this off season. if we cant get anything worth while without bringing back salary then why would we do it? Sent from my LS670 using Tapatalk
Capspace won't mean much if the talent we have to choose from this Summer ends up being the table scraps after the large markets get their pick of the top guys. The goal should be adding assets, if the capspace represents a better way to add talent then so be it, but I don't think this team should be overlooking "taking back salary" particularly if that "salary" is represented by somewhat useful players ... For instance, if the price of Bledsoe is Crawford and taking back Gomes, that's not exactly a net negative deal since Gomes is at least marginally useful as a combo forward off the bench and we're going to have to have somebody to play behind Nic
I hate the fact that they are trying to be "players" in the FA market. It's a new NBA where not even star-level players want to play in big markets. Inept fucking management. The only FA we should worry about are the ones on our team, well, just Batum.
What happens when you have a coach that refuses to give the young guys some burn to develop? Jerryd Bayless outplays Kyrie Irving tonight. Bayless has developed into a nice PG for the Raptors. He's slowly taking over Calderon's position on the team. I hope history doesn't repeat itself with Elliot Williams.
Then what is the state of a team that counts on Raymond Felton to be PG? My point wasn't advocating for Bayless, but Nate's refusal to give the young guys some burn to develop.
Bayless is on his 3rd stop in the league. He hasn't amounted to much. He's drives wildly to the hoop with his head down and looks to kick it out when he has no where to go. He thinks he's a lot better than he really is. He'll occasionally have a hot game. Kind of a Flip Murray type. But, I do agree with your point that Nate hates playing young guys.
