More to come, perhaps? Sounds like LAL is pushing for Crawford for nothing, basically. And Jamal says he prefers to be moved.

I doubt we keep either player we're getting. Probably waive both of them before they pack their bags.

Nevermind. Sessions is going to LAL, so I assume that ends the talk of JC to LAL.

Not sure that it is. Do you have a link saying the deal is done?

Let's go Toronto, Sacramento, New Orleans, Washington and Charlotte. Keep losing! Hopefully Gerald helps them stay at around the sixth to ninth worst record.

Good deal for POR, provided that NJ doesn't get a top 3 pick this year....but silver lining could be that POR now gets a 2013 pick (they traded away thier own to CHA) IF that pick doesn end up top 3...

Would love to know what pick LAL gave up for Sessons. How can we not make those kinds of moves? A PG for the future for what's sure to be a late-first round pick or 2nd rounder?

    Screw that.

    I want a Top 10 pick.

Nets are a bad team (currently 6th worse record). If they stay 6th, odds are higher that their pick will be 7th, than they win and vault into Top 3.

So, we have a good shot at a Top 10 pick in this draft - which is fucking awesome.

Just remember that we won the draft lotto being the 6th worst team.

I think Wesley will eventually be fine ... once he gets to revert back to being a spot up shooter that plays a little bit of D and doesn't do anything else.

I think plenty of true fans (sorry HCP) are a-ok with a tank job in this ridiculous * season.

    Something to look forward to!!

Starting to look a lot like the 2006 draft lead-up, just v2.0 this time. Hopefully they can make another splash with a competent GM in place. I feel the Blazers absolutely robbed NJ in this trade. Good going Blazers Management!

I can't be too critical of the Blazers performance, nor the outcomes of the pickups last off-season. Unless they knew Roy was going to retire/amnesty, I'm of the opinion that they thought they still had the proper pieces to make a decent run this year. After the unexpected news by Roy and the horrible play of Felton I'm hoping this will be about a 3 year rebuilding process. Perhaps the Blazers will get a star player that will lead Aldridge as a second option. They'd really have something cooking then. Unfortunately the Blazers will be rebuilding while Aldridge should be hitting his prime, but I expect with his type of play he should be pretty durable, i.e. peak performance will be maintained until his early-mid 30's. That gives them a few years of getting this team headed back to the top.

I also think they should just let Felton continue to play- he's the ultimate secret weapon if they are trying to "tank."

Good point. Keep him and have him play 48 mins a game.

And plus, we're probably not going to get Blake now. Yes.

Yes, they're all reporting on the deal, but no one has said it's been finalized, that I know of. So far, it's "reports say . . . "
