Can somebody explain the "protected pick?"

    So the pick we get is protected top 3 pick? Does that mean we only get the pick if it's a top 3? Or we only get it unless its out of the top 3?

    We get the pick this year if it's 4 or lower. We get the pick next year if it's 3 or higher this year.

    He has to ask a league executive for that nugget? We are all shocked. And unless it is signed sealed and delivered, I am worried it will fall through.

    If it's NOT a top 3 pick, we DO get it. If it IS a top 3 pick, we DON'T get it, but instead get their pick next year.

    Lay off the weed. :D

    The pick is the ONLY thing of value coming back...I don't think that it is out of line....but it is a good deal for POR.....
