It's my understanding that you have to have room for the incoming players before a trade can be completed. That means we have to cut someone from the existing roster first. Then, someone from the first deal can be cut (possibly Okur) to make room for the guys in the second deal.

Cutting Flynn makes no sense, IMO. We might as well take a flier on him.

    So perhaps Johnson and Okur?

Then I play Shawne Williams every minute of every game - make him look worth far more than his $3.4 million option, so he pursues free agency and a long-term deal. Wait - is it a player option or team option - this scheme is only necessary if it's a player option.

No problem. Cut Felton to make room for the Nets deal, then cut Okur to make room for Flynn and Thabeet. Easy peasy.

I wish we could cut Failton, but it's not happening. My guess is Chris Johnson and Rino.

Most likely. I really wish it was Felton though. He needs to go in a big way!

Flynn is the only guy we got who's healthy. Why would we cut him? That leaves cutting 2 of Oden, Shawne, Thabeet, and Okur. Okur will definitely be cut. Oden will get a summer exit with dignity. Thabeet is the laziest player in the league but a potential superstar. Aw, keep that good for nothing and goodbye, Shawne.

He's 26-27. I really didn't expect him to burst out.

We should let Joel go. He's too good of a person to be here in this mess. Or is he just that sick that he WANTS to be here for this?

Yeah I was kinda thinking the same thing. We gave him a shot, he did well enough last season to earn a nice payday, now he can find another team.

So Chris is gone. Best of luck to the skinny bastard.

The team talked about getting an extra roster spot for Oden's injury? If so we wouldn't need to cut anyone else, but I see absolutely no use for an injured (or healthy) Okur.
