Is this going to be like when Pritchard took over as coach?

He handed the keys to Telfair, whereupon it became painfully obvious to everyone but John Nash that Telfair couldn't cut it.

Or is Canales going to try to win? If we don't waive Felton or Crawford, I guess he'll have to, if only to avoid another player rebellion or pissing off Aldridge.

Try or no try, this team is going to be a hot mess until the end of the year. The best he can hope for is giving the youngsters a ton of burn, but also giving Felton free rein to be as awful as he wants to be with tons of encouragement instead of scowling. They'll lose, but they'll feel better about themselves.

I can't see Kaleb helping this team tank. Seems like he's got a lot of pride and this is his chance to show something as a head coach. It's not like he has any say in personnel moves like KP was back then. However, as long as he throws Felton out there, we should be fine.

Or is Canales our next GM, like our last interim coach KP? First KP, now KC (kaycee...)?

No I think it'll be very different, this is Kalebs chance to prove himself, if the team finishes 4-22 he may never get another shot as an NBA head coach. He will want to prove he's the next Spolstra.

The dude us 34, has moved up quickly, and is well-respected. Id have to assume he'll get more chances regardless in the future. But I do think how quickly his opportunities come will be tied to how the remainder of the season goes.

KP had a better team than this mess.
