I want to find something to disagree with here, but I can't. The funny part is how many posters here would defend the Blazers' decision to not give updates on Greg Oden, saying it was a HIPAA issue, or none of our business, or similar things. Turns out the only reason they weren't giving us the truth is because it would hurt ticket sales. Maybe after this road trip, they can stop this silly "sell-out" streak that is obviously a hoax at this point.
Where is the article? I find it hard to believe in this day and age that his quote that "he is done in Portland" did not scroll across the bottom of my TV screen. Not saying it is not true, but the Oregonian lives for this shit. Did I miss something?
Lie about your two hub players in GO and Roy, don't hire a GM, keep a coach that can't run a freaking play out of the time out, surround your franchise with kiss ass yes men who don't dare rock the boat, and pepper the team with personnel like Felton to replace Andre and this all screams..... piss poor management making money, crapping on the fans!
Okay so if healthy, what team will he play for? Obviously isn't going to demand max money, so he can pick whomever.
Yes, but then watch out! He'll play like a demon and we'll all wish he were still a Blazer. 10 games later he'll get hurt and be out the rest of the next three seasons. Gramps...
No I understand that, I'm just curious what type of team will take a chance on him. Is it the contender or the team that is trying to rebuild? Regardless, I don't expect him to do much when he comes back, at least for another 2 years. He's out of game shape, recovering from injury, plus he never really learned the game. He will be raw for sure.
It'll be the kind of team that already has a firmly entrenched center and just wants a little bit of extra depth and has the roster spot to take a flier on him. Who knows who that will be in 2 years ... but it certainly won't be a team that has to count on him.
