    I wonder, because it was a done deal that he was being traded to Portland, right?

    I mean, the two-week freak out over this deal was surely justified, wasn't it? :MARIS61:

    The two week freakout surely affected the Blazers decision NOT to trade for Steve Blake. They read our board. They value our opinion. They did not wish to anger the masses!

    I'd be okay with Blake if we didn't have to pay his contract.

    Maybe we could "trade" Felton for Blake. We waive Felton, they waive Blake. LA signs Felton to the minimum, but we're on the hook for Ray's contract for the rest of the year. We sign Blake for the minimum over the remainder of his contract, and LA is on the hook for it, so it hardly counts on our cap, and we have a solid backup PG (come on - as much as I'm not a Blake fan, he would have fit the role of a solid backup PG here - it's just we asked to much of his abilities by starting him).

    Ahh... fuck it. No to Blake.
