Even if he can't get good money, no way he stays in that shit hole. They traded their pick, most likely Williams is gone and that team is another 2-3 years from even winning games.

As Danny Glover used to say "I'm too old for this shit!"

I doubt at his age he turns down 11 million.

No way. Too much money with the player option.

I agree. He will play one more year for $11 million and then retire.

So what do you think was GW problem this year? Was it age or attitude?

Neither. I think he is a "system" type player who thrives when in the right "system" A chaotic fast break type style of play suits him best...... we didn't run that, especially on the road.

But Wallace played great for us last year. And we weren't any more of a run and gun team. He made plays on defense, took it to the hoop etc....this year, I think he was much more lethargic, and didn't display the athletisim and tenacity that made him such a good player in prior years.

Wallace bettered his career averages minutes played, assists, rebounds, and FT%, and virtually tied his career averages in steals, TO's, FG% and PPG, while attempting 1.5 less shots per game (wassupwithat, Felton?).

He's 29, been an allstar, and fills a stat sheet all the way across.

He's starting at SF and is their backup PF. He'll play more than his usual 36mpg the rest of the year, with one of the top 5 PG's in the league feeding him. I'll be surprised if both he and Deron don't stay there.

Either way, he'll play at least 5 more years because he's fit, he's an intelligent and energetic player at both ends of the court, and he's far better than over 400 other players in the league.

It's possible our new owner will sign him to play in Seattle.

Statwise, his game was nearly identical to last year's, except for 1.5 less attempts (1.2 less 3pt attempts).

The difference of having a very good quarterback-PG last year and a chubby, disgruntled bowler-PG this year.

DWilliams, ___, Gerald, Humphries & Brook Lopez is a pretty decent starting lineup on paper. Unfortunately for them, Deron is out with a strained calf & Lopez badly retwisted his surgically repaired ankle and may be shut down for the year.

didn't he injure his shooting hand early on in the season? That and the difference between having Andre Miller to Raymond Felton setting him up is my best guess at why his shooting percentages took such a dip

I expect Gerald to continue to mail it in and try to stay healthy, opt-in for his $11mil next season, then play like it's a contract year next season for his final big contract.
