    It was meant that way.

I have a lot of respect for those who tell it like they see it, and don't have hidden agendas.

Why didn't ABM vote in his own poll?

Same reason he still goes by ABM even though he doesn't live in Atlanta anymore

Lol 75% of you think we aren't gonna make it. I wonder how many of those votes actually hope we don't?

Mags, I recommend to you the wisdom of Phillip of Macedonia - father of Alexander the Great.

When rivals chided him for withdrawing from enemy territory, he responded: even a ram knows to withdraw and regroup so they can charge all the harder.

Making the playoffs, using our pick and the jersey to grab a player like rondo, could be a regroup enough. Yeah we may have to take on pierces contract, but what the hell?

Frankly, with all of the baggage that comes with Rondo I don't think I'd trade two potential top ten picks from this draft for him. You keep talking/writing like we're just one player away. We need to hit a couple of home-runs (or a couple of triples) in this draft and find a high quality free agent regardless of positions before we try to zero in on a single guy who many people describe as an un-coach-able headcase -- and let's face it -- a guy who can't shoot.

I keep talking like we are one player away becuase I truly believe we are. All we need is a playmaker. It may not be rondo. Hell it could be someone like wall. Whatever it maybe, we can get that player. We maybe able to still have enough cap room to grab a role player vet like a grant hill type. But I think this team with a core of Batum, rondo and Aldridge is really nice. Add a e will and we maybe onto something.

We wont. Watch the draft, PA will pick another PG draftee and let him sit on the bench, while he tries to trade another PG like Felton for another half ass PG to hope reach the playoffs for next season. PA never wants to rebuild on a newer PG, always goes after the 27+ year olds.

I hope the Blazers don't make the playoffs, and I think that making the playoffs would be about the worst thing possible in terms of a rebuilding effort.

    1-22!!!

Get the 4th pick and the 6th pick, and I'll Rise With Them again!

I will never ever ever condone tanking. I don't care if we can get the #4 and #6 pick. Fuck that lame ass noise. WIN BABY!

If we make the playoffs, then the organization really needs to clean house, because it'll show how inept they truly are. I mean, they made the moves that say "We're cleaning house, and we're tanking! Who's coming with us??" And then we make the playoffs (8th at best), and get blown out in the first round? We're much better off for the future getting a lotto pick.

That being said.... it would be exciting and quite the story if the team were able to pull it together and squeeze into the playoffs.

Well lets see... We didn't tank in the 90's and had 6 straight years of first round and outs. Then we got to the WCFs twice. So I guess it worked out pretty well then. We need a good GM. That's what it takes to win.

You may be right....if the GM can play the PG spot.
