Filed to ESPN: Matt Flynn has agreed to terms witj Seattle on a 3-yr contract worth up to $26M w/$10M guaranteed. http://twitter.com/#!/adamschefter I don't get the love for Flynn. He put up good numbers in an amazing offense. I think this is a bad deal. If I was them, I would have signed Jason Campbell or Kyle Orton, guys that have actually produced and would have been cheaper while definitely being upgrades over Tavaris Jackson.
I like it. Not a crazy amount of $$ and Pakers coach Mike McCarthy thinks he's the real deal. Go Seahawks!
this makes more sense than signing a rb to a huge deal coming off a career year, oh wait they already did that. i guess flynn's worth a flier and i find it funny that a few months ago he was the "biggest FA QB" then got totally overshadowed by manning. probably cost him quite a few million in the process too. seattle just doesn't look like a contender to me.
Flynn's deal is better than what Cassell and Kolb got. There is a risk, but not a crazy amount of risk.
wait, i thought charles whitehurst was the qb of the future, what happened there? didnt carrol and the hawks give up like 2 #2s for him? and give him a bunch of money? wtf was that?
As a Packers fan I think I can say with a certain degree of confidence that he'll be a pretty good one ... maybe not pro-bowl caliber, but Tom Clements appears to have worked his magic with him like he did with Rodgers; retooling his release and his mechanics. He's got moxie, he's tough and I'm kind of sad he's not going to be wearing the Green and Gold anymore.
well before manning got hurt flynn was the best option out there, sucks for him that manning went on the market.
I saw the title and thought PA had found a loophole and traded Jonny Flynn to his other team as a salary-cap dodge or something.
