<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>SALT LAKE CITY (July 21, 2006) -- In game one of the final day at the 2006 Rocky Mountain Revue, the Atlanta Hawks (2-3) took on the Philadelphia 76ers (4-1). The Revue?s two leading scorers faced off for the first time. Marvin Williams of Atlanta and Louis Williams of Philadelphia were the only two players in the league to average over 20 points a game. The two Williams? didn?t disappoint.Louis Williams scored 17 points in the first half to give the 76ers a eight point lead at the break. Marvin Williams led the Hawks with 12 at the half, but only managed to score one point in the third quarter, as the 76ers made some halftime adjustments to slow the league?s leading scorer. The Hawks closed the 76ers? lead to one at the end of the third quarter thanks to Philadelphia?s horrible shooting effort of 27 percent.Anthony Grundy picked up where Salim Stoudamire left off after Stoudamire was sidelined by a strained his right elbow two days ago. Grundy scored 16 total and went 6-for-12 from the floor to keep the Hawks in the game.Arguably the most entertaining quarter of the entire Revue, Louis Williams found himself trapped in the front court by two Hawk defenders and stepped out of bounds with :09 left. With the possession, Atlanta went to Marvin Williams who quickly dished it off to Shelden Williams for a wide open dunk. The dunk gave the Hawks the 82-81 victory, dealing Philly its second loss and overall record of 4-2. The Jazz now have an opportunity to tie Philadelphia for the league?s number one overall record later tonight.Louis Williams ended with 27 points on 9-of-16 shooting. Teammate Rodney Carney had 18. Marvin Williams ended with 16 along with his teammate, Grundy.</div>Boxscore: http://www.nba.com/media/jazz/Game16.pdfRecap: http://www.nba.com/jazz/Revue/06game16.htmlLouis(even though his turnovers went back up :no1: ), Smith, and Carney all did well again..and I've noticed that Ivan McFarlin can really crash the boards(then again you couldv'e said the same thing about James Thomas )..but the good thing we pretty much are the RMR champs unless Utah wins today. :boogie:
Man we would've won if Randolph would've played. We did really well though. I'm really glad that Louis Williams did great but those 8 t/o really are bugging me. I'm glad Carney and Steven Smith both did so well also. Hopefully we do sign Smith.
Williams did great except for the turnovers.Hopefully he can take all that, and use it next year when getting more minutes that I think he will get.
