At this point, I really would be grateful if the Blazers just conceded all remaining games this season. It just puts me in a bad mood when they actually play them. Maybe the opposing team could just come to the building and put on an intra-squad scrimmage (hey, that might actually be competitive!) and sign autographs.
How low can we realistically get as far as records go? Can we get in the top 7/8 of the draft record wise?
http://espn.go.com/nba/standings/_/group/1 Looks like PHX and GS can pass us pretty easily, which is 10th. I could see a couple of those 13 win teams doing well too (look at their last 10) which could bring us all the way to 4th. Oh, I didn't see MIL and CLE, so whatever, 7/8th seems reasonable.
I think the best draft pick we can get is 9th. The bottom teams are really really bad and 7 of them are in the east.
I enjoyed watching our scrubs at the end of the game. Why don't we just start them, and send the starters a message? Give me one good reason why the hell we shouldn't do it? We're not making the playoffs, we're going to lose anyway, the young guys are fun to watch.
If they aren't motivated by professionalism, maybe wounded pride will work. Has any coach ever succeeded by letting his players get away with dogging it? You would think even Nate sees that he has to do something.
I said this a week ago and will repeat: "Fire the scouts and just use draftexpress and/or nbadraft.net, save tons of money and we'd be much better off, that idea shoudl appeal to PA since he seems to like running the team with no "real GM"
It's a tryout. We need to play them in games to see what they got and what they don't got. And to improve our draft position, of course.
