<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>LOL, bro I know it's normal, but that guy man.. does it all the time.being emotionally tough is a great trait to have. It's a MOVIE.If it was in real life and you knew some one who was killed hell, cry if you want. That's serious. But we're talking about f*cking movies here...They're made-up...Even if some are based on true stories, it's acting. it is not a real-life situation, and in some movies when it is, it is part of life.I don't like it when people moan and cry about nonenity things.</div> No offense, I'm pretty sure you laugh during movies as well, and that's a emotion. So why can't people cry duing movies? It's a weak thought, that just because movies are fake, they prevent any emotional feelings out of you.

I meant "sad" emotions. It's stupid to be sad over a person acting in a fake movie. If people have to cry over people they don't know, why not cry over a person who dies in real life?Like a Lebanon civilian for example?

Movies provoke it out of people, you watch a movie, are you telling me you don't feel nothing out of it? People cry, get scared, and laugh in movies. It's just part of the experience. The reason we dont cry about people in "Lebanon" is that its war and it has nothing to do with our country. What is the point? With a movie, you are watching it, and u sometimes get wrapped up in it and feel sympathy. When people are watching the movie, they arent like, "o this movie is fake and has no relation to me at all so i cant feel emotional". They feel more like it is a non fictional. You will understand one day...

Most people when they watch a sad movie, will feel something, that is the intention of the movie. How hard is that to understand, even if it's fake(we all know that), it still doesn't take away what your seeing and what you felt during the movie. Your like someone who watches a movie, and instead of watching it, just point out how fake it is and how stupid it is. I mean you basically categorized a majority of the people in the world as stupid because they've cried during a movie. Oh and I brought up 9/11 simply because you said, "If people have to cry over people they don't know, why not cry over a person who dies in real life?" And I did. Don't give me excuses that it was our homeland and crap. All you have to do is show someone and tell them to read something about a horrific and sad situation in any parts of the world. I guaran-damn-tee, there will be some emotional feeling at the situation. It's just like countless people who donate to those starving children around the world on TV, do people now get emotional in those situations? Seriously, your opinion is so one sided and naive, it's ridiculous to even discuss it with you. Big deal, you don't cry during movies, your someone who doesn't take movies for what they are seriously in the first place(so why bother watching them?) and don't get the point of watching a movie for what it is(even though you said you laughed or got motivated by a movie which contradicts your whole why do people cry). Can you not control your laughter or motivation either, because I sure can.

Comedy is a good source of entertainment, and so is action. Sad is a good way to make people f*cking cry."And I did. Don't give me excuses that it was our homeland and crap. It's just like countless people who donate to those starving children around the world on TV, do people now get emotional in those situations?"People cry over those situations when it is regarding someone of their own race or country. No one gives a damn if a Lebanon civilian dies, no one cries over that. I live in a Jewish community, they're all laughing their asses off over that.Yet they cry over a movie.Last year, my cousin committed suicide. I did not cry, but I was very, very upset.I used to cry over a lot of things, and it does not help, it does not help anybody. A lot of my friends agree that when they cry, nothing is fixed. You just give yourself a runny nose, which may even lead to a cold (has happened to me before)When I had to go to school and explain why I wasn't in school for a few days, i told my teacher it was because my cousin died. I didn't do my homework, and the teacher said "Just because your cousin died, does not mean you can not do your homework. You have to grieve so long? Do your homework next time!" and all this sh*t and she asked the class "what do you think class" and one kid said who cares. Yeah, people cry over stupid things but when it comes to others, they don't give a sh*t. So in a movie, when people are faking it, I do not give a damn."Don't give me excuses that it was our homeland and crap"Yeah, that's about all you could think of to call it. Because it is a fact, and you fail to realize that. Homeland attacks have a big effect on citizens, they get scared. Especially where I live, since we are really close to where the attacks took place."Why even bother watching a movie"Like I've told you, I watch comedy movies, action movies and the rest I just watch if they're recommended to me.I wasn't calling EVERYONE in this thread a bastard basically, if they cry during a movie. I was saying in GENERAL, I do not like it when people cry over movies.but I was specifically talking to the guy, who said he get sensitive during movies and dissed the guy who said he does not cry during movies.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Rok @ Jul 25 2006, 01:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Seriously, your opinion is so one sided and naive, it's ridiculous to even discuss it with you. Yes people getting killed in action movies is so entertaining! I agree but it's laughable how you enjoy watching violence, but then say we should care about people in Lebenon. Yes movies are fake, but why condone violence and then say we should cry over violence there? Did it ever occur to you comedies and action movies also have their share of sad moments?
This is a joke, so people are crying over their own race now? What kind of stupid comment is that. I basically outlined one situation with starving children in other countries, being cried over by people over here, and I'm pretty sure their not the same race. Example, a caucasian crying over a Ethiopian or say people felt sadness over the incident in Sri Lanka. Also, are you telling me if a black person dies, even if I don't know him, I can't fucken cry about it? People at my school didn't know a kid who died but cried, and they weren't the same race.
Good for you, how about you start realizing people cry in situations like that, and don't have to act the way you do.
I must ask the same thing, my grandmother died, and I didn't stop doing my homework or my daily activities. But honestly if you were able to go to school, why were you unable to do your homework? In most cases, a close death to the family, they allow a time for grievance and dismissal from school. But you on the other hand, attended school, so you expect sympathy?
Fail to realize homeland attacks scare people? I'm pretty sure I realized that when I said people cried about it when it happened here. So how did I fail to realize it again? I basically reiterated the point because you think only homeland attacks bring sadness out of people, and can't feel sadness for other countries/races.
Big deal, most people do. Also, you didn't call everyone a bastard, you basically labeled people stupid who cry during movies.
You didn't bring up any of your experiences til now. And even so, you said you hate crying, so I could care less if you hate when other people cry.
As far as I'm concerned, no one seems to think highly of your opinion.

Because, people in Lebanon are actually dying. The people that die in movies are not dying in reality. How is it not pointless to cry over that?Explain this?First of all, let me get this straight, because you are making what I have said worse than it is, I said crying over movies is pointless, and stupid. Crying if a family member dies, is of course, understandable. Now you say, I expected sympathy when I told my teacher I did not do my homework. First of all, where the hell did you get the statement, that I did go to school those days? I did not, and also, how could you assume, without knowing me, that just because the family member was not part of my immediate family, was not close to me? He was my 1st cousin, and he was indeed very close to me. Also what hurts the most is because our family does not know why he did this. Also, secondly, I never expected sympathy. It was an experiance though, and it showed me that people really do not care about death. But they cry during MOVIES.Now, do you understand what "pointless" means?Go check it up in a dictionary.Understand it?Well, explain to me, why crying over a movie, has a point to it.Now,
I don't know how close you were to your grandmother, but I'll tell you this, my cousin was like a brother to me.
When did I say people can't cry over deaths in the family? My dad and mom were crying, I know people cry in REAL situations like this with family members.
Hey, first of all, when did I say you it's wrong to feel sad? Please, do not make my statements look worse than you already think they are. Also, to add to that, when did I say you could not cry?I said it is pointless and stupid, but when did I say, you CAN NOT cry? Also, when you mentioned "situation with starving children in other countries"How about, instead of crying, maybe do something about it and take action? I don't know if you did take action, but I don't think you have. From the looks of it, you like to cry and not do anything about it.Now, people in America, may care for Israelis, or African-Americans, or Oriental folks, or Latinos, but because of a few attacks on the WTC, by one group, America hates my culture. They do not feel pity for them, and this is a fact for a lot citizens, and all patriots. I know this because I have experianced this bs myself.Give me some proof that someone cried when they heard a Lebanon civilian die. When I hear an American dies, I feel pity for them. I am not happy. In an action movie, or a comedy movie, deaths happen, yes. But, they do not have the same effect on, say a romance movie.

Hey, like you don't care that I believe it is pointless to cry over movies, I don't care that no one here seems to think highly of my opinion.I know there are people who think highly of my opinion, a lot of my friends think it's well-thought out, and there are folks on other boards where I have disscussed this think so as well.I do not think people who cry over movies are stupid. But I do think it is stupid or pointless, for the person to cry over a movie. Like I said, I used to cry over small things, I cried a few times before during movies. Pointless.I never said you can't cry, I said it's stupid and pointless. If you guys hate my opinion, fine. If you guys hate me because of it, fine.A lot of guys want me gone, but the fact is I will not be gone, because I love Basketball and I love to talk about it. As long as I don't flame (Which I have not, besides to the man who dissed the guy who said he does not cry. I have not flamed you once, Rok, and you have not flamed me either. I respect that) and as long as I am cool with Ballah, I will be staying here.So all you people who do not like it,Cry over it, Deal with it, leave because of it, flame me, you can do anything you want, For this, it does not matter to me.[quote name='Justice' post='124129' date='Jul 25 2006, 09:57 PM']Uh, I didn't say you would. No, I did not. I said it is stupid for people to cry during movies.Because, people in Lebanon are actually dying. But they cry during MOVIES.Now, do you understand what "pointless" means?Go check it up in a dictionary.Understand it?Well, explain to me, why crying over a movie, has a point to it.Now,I don't know how close you were to your grandmother, but I'll tell you this, my cousin was like a brother to me. When did I say people can't cry over deaths in the family? My dad and mom were crying, I know people cry in REAL situations like this with family members.Hey, first of all, when did I say you it's wrong to feel sad? No, I did not. I said it is stupid for people to cry during movies.Hey, like you don't care that I believe it is pointless to cry over movies, I don't care that no one here seems to think highly of my opinion.I know there are people who think highly of my opinion, a lot of my friends think it's well-thought out, and there are folks on other boards where I have disscussed this think so as well.I do not think people who cry over movies are stupid. I respect that) and as long as I am cool with Ballah, I will be staying here.So all you people who do not like it,Cry over it, Deal with it, leave because of it, flame me, you can do anything you want, For this, it does not matter to me.You suggested maybe I might go away because of it.So I stated, I will not go away, because you called me a troll.I read what you said perfectly clear</div>

Island I don't know what to make of all that but you took a lot my quotes and misread them badly.
Um because your teacher asked why you did not do your homework. So I think the assumption is most likely you were in school, you even pointed out a kid in your classroom said something.
I did not say anything that said you were not close to your cousin at all.
Again, where did I say anything about something being pointless.
? The quote you referenced was me saying that people cry during movies, and you should get over it.
It's called an example, people cry about those situations, but also donate to the problem as well. Also, for someone to say they don't know me, you go and do the same thing. I for one don't care about the starving children nor donate to the organizations. If I had the extra money to donate, I probably would.
Why does Lebanon have to be the only country? There are other races and country that there has been situations where people have cried over another race. I understand in your situation and the type of responses you've receieved from douchebag Americans but I don't find it hard to believe a person of another race can't feel sadden by another of a different race.
Still disagree, there are scenes in comedies and action movies that have the same effect. In fact balla made a thread about Click, a comedy that him teary eyed.
    Because you don't right?
I'm not one to flame anyone on a board, so I respect that you haven't either. But like a debate with ballerman, I see this is going no where, I don't think it's stupid that people cry during movies, and you do. That's really the rundown of it.

Ok, I guess we pretty much cleared everything.Last points- I don't think crying over movies is stupid because I don't cry, but because, like I said, there are other things in life to cry about, which others don't care.- "for someone to say they don't know me, you go and do the same thing" Well I like to make the assumption until they prove me wrong. I'm fine with someone else assuming something about me as long as when i correct them they understand.might as well get this thread locked, we got our points heard.

Just wanted to note one more thing about your assumption, I didn't say anything about you not being close to your cousin, so the whole "for someone to say they don't know me, you go and do the same thing" was me pointing out that made no sense.
