Playing Felton and Crawford isn't "trying to win", it is "trying not to lose." It's punting on 4th and inches in the maroon zone.

It would make more sense to give those minutes to Smith or Flynn. Give them a fair chance to succeed or fail, and let the chips fall where they may.

On a related note: isn't it convenient that Williams suffered a season ending injury just as he was about to get put in a position where he might have had to put up or shut up?

Nate- it sounds like you know what we have with the new/young guys: players that aren't good enough to win. Since that's what you want. Don't act like you want to explore the new guys. You just want to lose. Crawesome will be here next year. He chose us, likes it here, and was happy when we didn't trade him. Feltwin is a very good PG in this league who struggled with an awful coach. If we can't get DWill or Rondo, we will keep Feltwin.

    Hahahahah SlyPokerDog is a troll.

In all seriousness, I do really want to see what Flynn can do. Hickson too. Babbitt...... not so much. I still think Flynn could be a legitimate starting NBA point guard. I want to test him out.

I stood up for Sheed, for Bonzi, for Zach.......but Felton is a bridge too far. He is the epitome of unprofessionalism. They need to burn that cancer out of the locker-room with thermite.

I don't care how good Felton plays out this season, he's never fonna be a blazer again. We are allowing him to play out the year and earn a contract with another team. It shows other free agents that, even though things were bad, we won't ruin your career and stand by you.

We are the bigger team. We refuse to tank and that professionalism will set a precedent to other players. So it sucks that Felton is getting a chance while others got the boot, he couldn't be traded. So we play it out and get a couple awesome possum free agents and vets around aldridges age. Rebuild complete

I did not call Eric a troll. I said what he was doing was trolling. If we can't call someone out for what they're doing, what good is a forum?

Flynn may be a starter in this league. Hickson is definitely a starter in this league. Thabeet might start someday if a team were willing to be patient with him. Canales will give Flynn a shot once he gets to know him. Nolan will have a bad game and KC will throw him in there. Hickson should be given a chance to take Rhino's minutes. It will happen. Be patient. And if we get the 8 seed, that doesn't mean we lose to the Thunder in 4. But we gotta be in it to win it. We have NJ's pick. We will have a decent pick in this deep draft even if we make the playoffs. We have cap space. We have young talent. And finally so many options to explore at PG. Trying to win now won't hurt our future.

Two decent picks in this deep draft are worth more than another quick exit from the playofffs.

We can make the playoffs and still have two decent picks. And why do you insist we'll have another quick exit if we get there? People thought the Mavs were losing in the first round last year. And everyone thought the Lakers were winning the West. Well Dallas beat us, swept the Lakers and waltzed to the championship. Are we the Mavs? No. But we have our own attributes that we bring to the table and there's no reason why we can't make noise. If everyone's on the same page and in a positive frame of mind, anything's possible. Knicks made the Finals from the 8 seed.

Why'd we bother trading for Hasheem and Jonny if we're not going to let them audition this year? They both have team options that relatively substantial. The fans want to see them, and I think the team is better off evaluating them now.

Because our coach wants to prove he can win so he'll play the guys who have the best chance of getting him the W. I totally understand why he's doing it, but his best interest and the team's best interest are not one in the same.

Nothing. It's asinine that we are still playing our vets so many minutes. None of them will be here next year anyway

I have to agree, the young guys, good or bad, all of them should be getting 15-20 minutes every game

The fact that Flynn got... what..... 3.5 minutes last night is just stupid. I can understand if Coach K is wanting him to learn the "system", but they need to throw the kid in and see if he can swim. We don't have very many games left to do a proper tryout.

I gave Felton about twenty games or so before I wrote him off. He was thrown into a difficult situation but not impossible ... more important to me though was how he reacted. Not only did he report to training camp fat and out of shape but did he show any kind of professionalism? Did he show any kind of grit? Did he put his head down and advance? Nope, nope, and nope. He did nothing but retreat and cast about for others to blame when things got tough.

The fact that he's suddenly "rejuvenated" and is playing like a semi-competent basketball player again is actually more damning to me than if he was still struggling because it tells me that he mailed it in rather than try to make it work. He's the worst sort of player for this team moving forward because you will never be able to trust him again to be a pro and to truly compete when things get tough again. All of these stats he's putting up are hollow -- total fool's gold. Move on and get a real competitor.

Whether you like Nate McMillan or not, there's no excuse for two of your key players to tank intentionally to get the guy fired, and that's exactly what Felton and possibly some other players appear to have done. Fuck that guy. Get him off our team.

If you guys wanted tanking, you should have been upset that Nate was fired. He would have lead us to the lottery.
